From now on the race becomes winner take all. If Trump wins Florida on March 15, it is probably all over.

A sheriff is generally the chief law enforcement officer of a county. The counterpart for a city is chief of police. In some jurisdictions they are the same person, but in others there will be a sheriff and then chiefs of police for the cities.

Lweji · 15/03/2016 14:56

There's the space of one post. Even a sentence (see previous).

claig · 15/03/2016 15:00

'Is completely contradicting yourself within the space of 40 minutes a record?'

Trump will get on with all the leaders of governments e.g Assad in Syria, but he will definitely not get on with the leaders of the bands of Jihadis and terrorists like Isis. He will wipe that lot out.

'A sheriff is generally the chief law enforcement officer of a county.'

So is there someone above the level of county sheriff for an entire state and is the sheriff below them in the hierarchy?

He will wipe that lot out.

I think he may need really big wipes.

BTW, look the cool map I found. isis.liveuamap.com/

SenecaFalls · 15/03/2016 15:50

It would depend on the state, but often no. The sheriff is usually an elected official so answers to voters.

Thanks, SenecaFalls

No, he really won't.

I like the dust storm symbol on that map!

Trump's butler adores him and reveals details about Trump the person you might find interesting, Claig Here

BigChocFrenzy · 15/03/2016 19:07

No sign the kerfuffle is harming Trump in the primaries Hmm
The pollsters & pundits predict today's contests will be good for him, but not yet decisive unless he exceeds expectations:

They all expect Trump to thrash Rubio in Rubio's home state of Florida, so that's one fewer candidate after tomorrow.
Nate Silver has his usual graphs & polls for all the contests today.

They say Trump should also easily win N. Carolina and Illinois.
He's favourite for Missouri, but with Cruz a strong second.
Kasich is expected to win his own state of Ohio, but he'll also be out if he doesn't, im which case it would be just Trump vs Cruz from then on.

The anti-Trumpers might do better with just one candidate.

SenecaFalls · 15/03/2016 19:11

From the butler: If the cap was white, the staff noticed, the boss was in a good mood. If it was red, it was best to stay away.

Trump is almost always wearing a red cap on the campaign trail. Take heed, America.

BigChocFrenzy · 15/03/2016 19:12

Nate Silver says Bernie might just pull off another upset win,,this time in Ohio, for similar reasons to Michigan.
Go Bernie ! < loud cheering >
He's talked a lot of sense which has been overlooked with all the batshitting going on:

Great article, BigChoc, thanks.

"Mr. Trump liked to tell guests that the nursery rhyme-themed tiles in the room were made by a young Walt Disney.

“You don’t like that, do you?” Mr. Trump would say when he caught Mr. Senecal rolling his eyes. The house historian would protest that it was not true.

“Who cares?” Mr. Trump would respond with a laugh." Grin

Let's hope Trump wears a white cap tonight which will indicate that things have gone well. Smile

"Reports: Trump Left Off Some Florida Ballots; “Dozens of Complaints”

Kristinn Taylor Mar 15th, 2016 11:28 am 602 Comments

Leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s name was left off Florida primary ballots according to reports relayed by Fox News’ Jennifer Eckhart on Twitter who said the local Fox affiliate has received “dozens of complaints.”

Eckhart wrote the irregularities are in “Jupiter County” which does not exist. She probably meant the town of Jupiter or Palm Beach County where Jupiter is located. Palm Beach County is where Trump’s Florida base Mar-a-Lago is located."

Looks like the Establishment media didn't report the full extent of what the left wing agitators did at the Trump rally protest in Chicago. No surprise there.

"Chicago Cop: Anti-Trump Mob More Aggressive and Destructive than Reported

The protests launched by militant leftists who shut down Donald Trump’s Chicago rally were far more aggressive and destructive than reported, says a Chicago Police officer.

“It seems the [media] aren’t broadcasting footage of the debris being thrown across Harrison by Sanders/Hillary supporters at Trump fans,” the officer wrote shortly after the canceled Trump event.

The officer, who posed anonymously on the Second City Cop blog, also noted the media didn’t report that protesters were running through parking lots and breaking windows of cars with Trump stickers on them, or that the department called out emergency Incident Teams to cope with the anti-Trump riot at the University of Illinois in Chicago."

Instead, the Establishment media and the Establishment Republican candidates blamed Trump.

Nate Sikver observed: "So far, Hillary Clinton has won just 48 percent of pledged delegates from blue (Democrat) states; her lead is entirely attributable to a 68 percent delegate share in red (Republican) states"
So, Hillary is winning in states the Democrats won't win in November.

I still think Bernie would have a better chance of defeating Trump, in the current anti-establishment atmosphere.
The bruiser with the knuckledusters would not politely ignore her scandals as Queensbury Rules Bernie does - and she has several closets full of scandals, like Imelda Marcos had closets of shoes.

SenecaFalls · 15/03/2016 22:00

Hillary's scandals have been manufactured by the right and are fueled by misogyny. The email thing is a non-issue. Other secretaries of state, including Republicans, have done similar things.

BigChocFrenzy · 15/03/2016 22:43

She and Bill are partners in sleaze. Neo-liberals economically and neo-cons in foreign policy.
They seem to have landed in the Democrat Party because of the Southern connection.

Yes, I am bitter at her blundering butchery in the Middle East. My mother's side of the family is Arab and we all hate her guts. Those are not far-off lands I can regard as expendable.
Her gloating "We came, we saw, he died" about Gaddafi's gruesome death made me shudder. It was evil.

BigChocFrenzy · 15/03/2016 23:06

The Atlantic Analyses the scandals, major and minor that may damage her.
The Clinton foundation accepting millions from very dodgy donors is a serious conflict of interest.
Her claims she would rein in the banks are unbelievable, when e.g. she earned $11 million in 2014 - Q1 2015 for speeches to banks and similar orgs, Washington Post
Neither of those 2 publications are Republican.

'I can hear your crisps rustling'

They are going down a treat!
CNN projects huge win for Trump in Florida and also large win for Hillary in Florida. People in Florida going wild, Tony Blair "anxious".

Bad news is if Establishment Kasich somehow wangles an Establishment win in Ohio, top conservative radio host, Rush Limbaugh, thinks that then Jeb Bush will end up as the Republican nominee

"If neither Trump nor Ted Cruz win the necessary 1,237 delegates to win the Republican nomination outright, “I’m here to tell you Jeb Bush is gonna be the nominee,” Limbaugh warned, according to a transcript of his radio show. “That’s what they’re gonna do. That’s what they’ve always wanted.”
...
If Bush doesn’t wind up with the nomination, Limbaugh said, it will be 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney who emerges. But in either scenario, Limbaugh stressed, it’s paramount for Kasich to win Ohio.

“Kasich wins Ohio, then the establishment thinks that they’ve got a pathway to deny Trump 1,237 or Cruz 1,237,” he said. “And that’s key.”

Rubio is finished. He wanted to run for Governor of Florida, but there is no way the good Republican people of Florida will vote that politically correct anti-Trump snipe in after the base way he attacked The Donald.

He'll probably have to look for a job outside the political gravy train.

OP posts:
claig · 16/03/2016 00:22

Rubio taking to the stage now. Congratulates The Donald. Now pretending he is a conservative and that he is anti-establishment, but the speech is full of Blairisms so it doesn't ring true. Trowels the phoney spin on in true Labour Party fashion.

OP posts:
claig · 16/03/2016 00:24

Good, he has announced that his campaign is suspended. No more politically correct phoney spin speeches.

I guess that's it then - it's Trump vs Clinton, with a distinct possibility that there will be a third candidate put up by establishment conservatives.

oliviaclottedcream · 16/03/2016 07:49

well if I had a vote and it ends up being Trump V Clinton. I'd defo' be for Trump.
