Sex Attacks in Cologne and other European Cities Part VII

part 1

The events of NYE were shocking enough; the subsequent minimising and under-reporting were an affront to women's rights to equality across Europe.

It's a testament to the tenacity and commitment of this community that we are at thread VII; do join the discussion and feel free to share the links and letters to anyone you think may wish to be part of this important debate.

We are currently awaiting the approval of a petition to parliament.

Shortly we will post links for those who want to take a proactive part in safeguarding the rights of all UK women to live in freedom from the fear of mass sexual assault as we sadly saw in NYE and reports of which are finally seeing daylight across Europe.

Cellar, I asked where I called someone a 'racist' on THIS thread.

LumelaMme · 25/01/2016 17:11

FFS, ems.
People do remember from thread to thread.
You called me 'bigoted' and 'prejudiced' a few threads back.

You climbed down to that from 'racist' because I explained to you that I was of mixed ancestry. I had to ask you several times, as well, to withdraw 'racist'.

It's throwing insults like that around which closes down debate, makes people afraid to speak, pisses them off, turns them against you. You have also managed to polarise debate here to a certain extent: there's emily on the moral high ground, lobbing her attacks on the 'bigoted' and 'prejudiced' 'racists' all huddled together for mutual support in the lowlands of pragmatism.

Cellardoor1 · 25/01/2016 17:11

No you didn't. You asked how have you offended anyone. Calling someone a nazi is pretty offensive and I see that post was deleted. That's the latest in a long line of deletions of your posts. Strange that would happen to someone who isn't attacking posters?

GraceKellysLeftArm · 25/01/2016 17:13

Emily - you appear confused between refugee and migrant.

I think 99% of us on this thread would open our hearts and give PRAGMATIC help to women/children/families in need. As I have previously stated, I work with an immigration lawyer getting people into Canada. I would like to donate women's clothes/feminine products - not men's trainers & jeans.

What 99% of us don't want is to be told that "alcohol is banned" and we must cover up (just like those 8 year old muslim girls have to) because we're just too fucking sexy to go out without a male escort.

VertigoNun · 25/01/2016 17:13

I would have pulled some people up on some comments, if the thread had been different.

emilybohemia · 25/01/2016 17:20

I'm not confused at all Grace and being a migrant doesn't mean someone doesn't need help.

Why don't you want to donate men's items?

Noone has told us alcohol is banned. Noone in the uk has advised covering up.

LumelaMme · 25/01/2016 17:20

Ditto, Vertigo.
As it was, I hadn't the energy.

I buggered off a few times because I got sick of dealing with one particular poster.

LumelaMme · 25/01/2016 17:23

Noone has told us alcohol is banned. Noone in the uk has advised covering up.
emily, do you not have the wit to realise that most of us on this thread DO NOT WANT THAT SORT OF THING IMPOSED ON US IN THE UK?
We KNOW those issues have cropped up in Germany. We don't want it here.

Do you see what you do? You seem to wilfully misunderstand or over interpret fucking everything which is said.

SonyaAtTheSamovar · 25/01/2016 17:23

The blatently untrue assertions that if posts were not condemned in writing they were agreed with. On a busy thread with many digressions? Utter pish.

All the while debatable points and direct questions ignored.

Very silly.

emilybohemia · 25/01/2016 17:26

Lumelna, I have the wit to realise when something isn't happening or being imposed and people are scaremongering. I don't misinterpret, I disagree and call for common sense.

SonyaAtTheSamovar · 25/01/2016 17:29

Anyone got a link to the petition?

LumelaMme · 25/01/2016 17:31

So it's scaremongering to worry about the future implications of current events.

Oh. Okay. That's me told.

sportinguista · 25/01/2016 17:31

My DH is a migrant, he didn't receive a great deal of help. He did however have to work hard and to integrate. He has never felt he was entitled to attack women or have a w**k in a public place.

Maybe we should be asking for more help as we clearly should have been entitled on the basis of what emily says...(toddles off to ring government and complain).

It is scaremongering to insinuate women are being advised not to drink alcohol and to cover up, when they are not, Lumela.

I don't think behaving indecently in a public place is an intrinsic part of being a migrant sporting.

januarybrown1998 · 25/01/2016 17:43

Ban alcohol

dress modestly

GraceKellysLeftArm · 25/01/2016 17:45

Oh - on the subject of propaganda peddling - I had the "honour" of attending a school concert yesterday. The opening song was an official Scotland School's "Welcome Refugees" ballad... weird I thought, perhaps my geography being out of date 'n' all... but an awful lot of countries sung out whom I didn't realise were in crisis.

It's come through a generation of school children left unable to think critically as they've been spoon-fed this shite.

Emily - they are. As reported MULTIPLE times in this thread. Do you know where Germany is?

sportinguista · 25/01/2016 17:48

Why do those blokes think they should be allowed to do it then emily?

Scroogehaditright15 · 25/01/2016 17:49

I know it's probably not relevant to this thread, but have you heard about the young worker in a refugee centre in Sweden, who has been stabbed to death, by one of the young male residents?

Not sure why any British press haven't reported it, yet it has been in the US.

sportinguista · 25/01/2016 17:53

Why do that group and those clerics think that alcohol should be banned and all women to cover up - will that sort it all out?

VertigoNun · 25/01/2016 17:56

I doubt coveted up women will cure the weirdo who emptied his bowels into a public kids pool. Angry That man has some serious odd fetish going on.

CalmYoBadSelf · 25/01/2016 18:02

FFS Emily You appear to be very hard-of-thinking today so let me explain:

A group in Germany have called for the country to ban alcohol to help migrants settle in and has said that women who do not cover up have only themselves to blame if they are raped plus there have been instances where women/girls have been advised to cover up This has all been posted with links previously. Lumela was saying that she does not want that to spread to here

There was an article linked yesterday about a swimming baths where men of non-German origin had tried to attack the women's changing rooms but were fought off by lifeguards resulting in all immigrants being banned from the baths but women were now too scared to use them anyway.

At the risk of repeating myself. NOBODY ON THIS THREAD BUT YOU IS CLAIMING THAT ALL MIGRANTS OR MUSLIMS DO ANY PARTICULAR THING.

emilybohemia · 25/01/2016 18:04

January, that is Germany, not the UK.
