This EU debate is massively damaging; it's going to drag out for a long time yet. In the mean time, what companies are going to invest in the UK with such uncertainty on the horizon? None.

Like the Scottish independence debate, I haven't heard anything remotely like a sound economic argument for leaving, or a reasonable long term economic plan once we've left. (Scotland would already be up the creek, having simply expected the oil market to continue uninterrupted forever - although at least they had a plan)...

I'd need a thoroughly convincing proof of extremely strong economic benefits to vote for such a huge upheaval as leaving. Straight bananas, pounds and ounces, crab stick branding just don't cut it.

I might have been somewhat persuaded by the open borders argument, however not a single person I've debated immigration with has been able to give me even one example of how it has directly and negatively affected their life, so currently I'm not swayed by that either.

Stay.

Leave, 100% no doubt, I think we will leave, I don't know anyone who is pro EU in real life.

camtt · 10/01/2016 17:24

stay

camtt · 10/01/2016 17:25

I'm also a real person in real life and I still say stay

hiddenhome2 · 10/01/2016 17:27

I think we may leave. The people of the uk won't wish to end up like Germany, France or Sweden. Although, we are just delaying the inevitable.

DadKeepsCalm1 · 10/01/2016 17:27

Camtt I sure you are I just don't know you. But seriously how many people are passionate about staying and union.

LieselMeminger · 10/01/2016 17:27

As things stand now-leave

steppemum · 10/01/2016 17:54

stay.

There are so many behind the scene things where we benefit from EU. They are not glamorous, and will be hard to 'sell' but we will be much worse off on our own.

Having said that I don't want to lose any more sovereignty. I would like to massively shake up the parliament, and make it financially more accountable etc.

But knowing it has problems and needs reform is no the same as being bettercoff out of it.

hippoinamudhole · 10/01/2016 20:03

Would France have been as keen to stop the immigrants trying to get to Britain if we were not part of the EU.
