Well no loss there.

Are you saying being a Tory is worse than child murderer? Mumsnet was peppered with grinning emoticons over her death, but you think I should feel pity for a woman who killed her little boy?

Inkanta · 16/07/2015 08:40

I'm interested in all reactions really. Strong reactions are not despicable to me. My over riding feeling is a revulsion feeling for the boy's suffering. I can't say it's a sad feeling I get for this woman. I see she took her own life - and I wonder if she had any conscience at all and was tormented for what she did. Or did she take her own life out of self pity.

VulcanWoman · 16/07/2015 17:06

Self pity I'd say or else she would have done it sooner.

Poor little boy......
His mother's death means nothing really, if people are 'cackling with glee'....
I hate to say it but .....rearrange these words into a well known phrase or saying...
'life' 'a' 'get'

I find it interesting her poor boy suffered 4 years being locked away, she managed 2 - with meals.

I do feel for her other children, they must be feeling incredibly mixed confusing feelings at the loss of their mother (both when she was arrested and at her death).
Her sons case was one that stuck in my head truly truly heart breaking. She was a vile vile woman but i won't be laughing at her death - its just indifference.

Iamalwayswrong · 17/07/2015 06:42

She's dead. It means nothing. That poor child of hers still suffered. And many more still are. They are what matter now.

I've only read the first page, so probably repeating what other have said; though the first people mostly said good riddance.

When I first heard about her death in prison, I was sad, for her. Also her daughter, and other relatives, won't ever be able to make sense of what she did, or see if she could be 'rehabilitated'.

It was terrible even reading what she did to little Daniel. I don't really blame the school, because they reported it, and the mother was too clever. BUT, I think that my DS's school would have done more to try to help. :(
