Just heard on the news that a female teacher has been stabbed to death by a 15 yr old student. This has made me go so cold. That poor woman.

LeftyLoony · 28/04/2014 14:38

Just got the BBC news alert. Very sad.

JaneRizzoli · 28/04/2014 14:41

Shocking news, that poor woman.

ExitPursuedByABear · 28/04/2014 14:42

Horrendous.

BabeRuthless · 28/04/2014 14:45

Awful, awful news. I can't imagine how everyone else at the school is feeling right now.

TheGirlFromIpanema · 28/04/2014 14:45

Someone told me earlier that it was at a school (probs best not to name) that I thought was a primary school. Are there actual news reports now?

Surely that can't be right. All so sad, poor woman Sad

Morgause · 28/04/2014 14:46

Dreadful, dreadful news.

Timetoask · 28/04/2014 14:46

Its a secondary school which was deemed as inadequate by ofsted due to behavioural issues.
I just hope this doesn't become a new trend. What is happening to today's youth.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 28/04/2014 14:47

God, what horrific news.

Poor, poor woman. Absolutely horrific.

meditrina · 28/04/2014 14:47

The name of the school is now widely reported, and confirmed by the police. It's Corpus Christi Catholic College, Leeds and the police statement says the school is now secure, and parents are asked not to go to the school unless called in.

ouryve · 28/04/2014 14:48

The school is named in the article.

Got the shivers, reading that. Terrifying.

TheGirlFromIpanema · 28/04/2014 14:49

Yes, CC that's what I heard.

I thought the secondary part had actually closed ages ago.

Shocking.

bleedingheart · 28/04/2014 14:50

I'm sure it is an impossible situation to manage and I can understand why they want parents to stay away at present but every atom of your being would want to get there. So sad and frightening!

FreakinScaryCaaw · 28/04/2014 14:51

That's awful, poor woman and whoever witnessed it too.

I just hope this doesn't become a new trend. What is happening to today's youth

That's a bit silly. why would it become a trend?

meditrina · 28/04/2014 14:52

West Yorkshire Police statement here.

A dreadful incident Sad

MsJupiter · 28/04/2014 14:54

Well there was a report on the news the other day about increasing numbers of knives in schools so while hopefully this kind of attack isn't repeated, it does seem to be a trend in the sociological sense.

EyelinerQueen · 28/04/2014 14:54

Oh good god that is horrific Sad .

I'm in Leeds and not too far from that school. The poor poor woman Sad .

Fizzybangfanny · 28/04/2014 14:54

Just awful!

Makes HE so much more attractive.

MagnaCharge · 28/04/2014 14:56

Christ Almighty. Absolutely beyond shocking.

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 28/04/2014 14:56

Poor woman. RIP
Shocking news,
time, Phillip Lawrence was a headteacher stabbed to death outside school in 1995, so wouldn't really say it's just todays youth.

MarcusAurelius · 28/04/2014 14:56

Some schools already have metal detectors in place, i imagine a fair few more will be rolled out after this. Hopefully schools will get more leeway to expel dangerous pupils. Chances are the child who committed the murder hasn't been a model pupil.
