For all of you who don't understand the disgust with the Daily Mail...

I have just been told they have published an article about John Hemming in which they name me. Both my real name and my user name.

Luckily for me I don't care. Luckily for me I decided long ago I would never put anything on line that I would be ashamed/upset/frightened for anyone else to read.

But for lots of people this would be a complete and utter disaster. People post really personal and sensitive stuff on this site about the worst times of their lives, looking for help and support. They must know that.

Note that they never bothered contacting me to find out which category I fell into.

So if anyone wants to start another wide eyed innocent thread - o I just don't understand why you all hate the Daily Mail so much!

Does this kind of thing help you understand a little more?

I will link to the scum bags but only because I hope people might leave some 'helpful' comments about JH.

Look, i thought we had established that this book is based on FACT.

God knows I can't make my way from one end of Bristol County Court to the other without tripping over several pairs of grotesquely fat and extraordinarily thin Social Workers.

since when was wine against food hygiene principles?

Lilka · 05/01/2014 00:04

It's so ridiculous I'm actually laughing my head off Grin So my BP is being raised but not by anger

JH gets frequent mentions in this book. Now he does raise my BP in an unhealthy way

MadameDefarge · 05/01/2014 00:05

Another 40 down, wine break.

Just another 240 to go.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 05/01/2014 00:05

That is beyond disgusting.

MadameDefarge · 05/01/2014 00:06

sorry zombie, I probably shouldn't drink wine while making canapes....

Lilka · 05/01/2014 00:08

Sorry Spero

As an adoptive parent in the UK today, I can confirm that this book is based on fact and really resonates with me. I can see big parallels with my own adoptions here, as well as noting that the fictional social workers are very like real ones in all respects. I would also like it noted, in case anyone wants to start another TAAT about giving children alcohol, that I frequently have given all my children from the age of 2, big glasses of champagne at Sunday dinner. It's an adoptive parent thing, see. I am very proud to have helped social services in their child snatching agenda, and also to have helped them climb their careers ladders by arranging gay adoptions, which are very in vogue and look fanatastic on a SW's CV, as every reasonable person realises.

Lilka · 05/01/2014 00:09

Oh okay, my BP is being raised in an unhealthy way now, it's getting all homophobic, going on about 'fucking gays' Sad

MadameDefarge · 05/01/2014 00:09

Don't forget the week, Lilka, don't forget the weed.

Devora · 05/01/2014 00:09

Lilka, we're not mummy and daddy, we're Mr Mum and Childie.

(Not really; in case RKS is reading this to seek evidence for his next fact-based opus.)

MadameDefarge · 05/01/2014 00:10

Glad the gays are getting some. bit of desert round Heterosexual Towers atm.

MadameDefarge · 05/01/2014 00:10

But that will teach me for being a single parent.

Devora · 05/01/2014 00:10

Enjoying mental image of Lilka spending her Saturday night quaffing wine while reading 'Abduction' to the background of JH's dulcet tones. Is he a bit Barry White, Lilka? Putting you in the mood for romance?

LimeJellyforBrains · 05/01/2014 00:11

Is that your Amazon review, Lilka? Don't forget to leave a review Wink

MadameDefarge · 05/01/2014 00:12

I've got the Tina Charles going on round my way,

'Ooh I love to love, but my baby, just wants to dance, he's gotta dance...'

MadameDefarge · 05/01/2014 00:12

I think he's gay.

Lilka · 05/01/2014 00:13

Oh good idea Lime

It would be good for it to have a review not written by Silk himself wouldn't it?

Oh yes Devora very romantic. I could almost go get a dildo out....* He needs to take this to X Factor. When he gets sacked as MP he needs a back up career, and singing is clearly IT

*really lowers tone of thread

MadameDefarge · 05/01/2014 00:14

OMG! My ds has caught the days!

Thank fuck for that. For a while there I was in danger of losing him to another female.

Now the future looks rosy, full of interior design, great clothing and stylish pressies.

Lilka · 05/01/2014 00:14

Just ruined Devora's mental image I think. She's convering her eyes going 'la la la, I didn't just read that'

MadameDefarge · 05/01/2014 00:15
MadameDefarge · 05/01/2014 00:15

Right. back to the fucking filo.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 05/01/2014 00:16

Oh dear madame defarge I meant Hemming of course. And not the verb Smile

I know Maryz Sad

I don't know where I went wrong with her

I tried so hard. Y'know, I forced her to wear boxers and check shirts and doc martens, I made sure to expose her to gay weddings frequently, and decorated her room in rainbow colours, and bought her a subscription to DIVA for her birthday, I took care to turn off adverts featuring those perverted straights doing perverted hetero stuff...but none of it worked

I blame myself naturally. I feel deep shame and guilt

But maryz thanks partly to your amazing advice to detach and take care of myself, I am starting to move forwards, and realise that it is in fact possible to hate the sin (PIV sex) and not the sinner

I feel enlightened and forgiving of my daughter since this revelation. Praise the Gaylord

nennypops · 05/01/2014 00:24

Just something that I've been wondering about. "Forced Adoption" in IJ-speak is adoption against the wishes of the parents, right? And it's always a Bad Thing, right?

So if, say, Baby P had been forcibly adopted against the wishes of his mother and her boyfriend, resulting in him now growing up happily with loving adoptive parents, that also would be a Bad Thing, and RKS would dedicate books to him and JH would sing songs for him?
