Child taken from womb? Truth into darkness....

LakeDistrictBabe · 13/12/2013 20:20

Ok, the old thread is nearly full. If you read the other three, I don't need to re-write everything again ;)

But you know I am referring to the case involving an Italian mother and the British social services.
Opinions welcome.

OP posts:
roadwalker · 19/12/2013 17:40

IMHO and I would like to point out opinion only
JH is of the 'families belong to men' and 'what happens in the home stays in the home' types

I am so impressed at all the staying power on here and the arguments you are all putting forward, I lost the will to live long ago reading JH posts

I am missing juliets hand wringing- how can you all be so cruel to the poor man
are you still aroung Juliet?

roadwalker · 19/12/2013 17:42

I do have the facts and stats regarding my opinion of JH is anyone would like me to email them, they will not make any sense but hey ho

Spero · 19/12/2013 17:42

I have yet to hear back from Nick Clegg in 2012 or even my own MP from my tweet yesterday so the views of the Lib Dems are currently a mystery.

JH when this story broke, you described it as a child ripped from her mother's womb to satisfy the LA's wish to fulfil adoption targets.

Please don't make me trawl through 3000 plus posts to confirm that but if you deny it, I will.

So what is your view now? Was this case one of the 2/3rds that were correctly, if very sadly, decided?

Or was this on of the 1/3 that was 'wrong'?

And if it was 'wrong' WHY was it wrong?

Do you still maintain there is a conspiracy to snatch babies to meet LA adoption targets?

Spero · 19/12/2013 17:43

Gosh yes, Juliet, come back!

we miss your common sense interjections every 100 posts or so.

Without you pearl clutching at our beastliness, who knows where this will all end up?

nennypops · 19/12/2013 18:38

And if you're back reading this JH, would you care to tell us whether you accept that you broke a court order and breached three children's right to confidentiality? And whether you are prepared to apologise for any of that?

nennypops · 19/12/2013 18:42

she is nagging me for some new boots. I said if she could produce a convincing argument I would consider it. I have just been handed a piece of paper claiming that '80% of girls I have seen waring (sic) these kind of shoes'.

Excuse me a moment whilst I dash a tear of pride from my eye.

Sterling work indeed, but I fear your daughter has a bit of a way to go, Spero. She's not up to 5 star standards till she starts referring you to letters she has written, speeches she has made and blog posts written by herself and her friends as irrefutable factual evidence of her need for the boots.

johnhemming · 19/12/2013 19:15

Spero seem incapable of accurate quotation. Should I tell the BSB?

Spero · 19/12/2013 19:26

Okay. I will find the post(s).

Tell the Bar Standards Board whatever you wish.

What a shame you once again revert to threats.

Golddigger · 19/12/2013 19:35

I feel that I am missing something here.

Are Spero, NanaNina etc asking for help from JH to help sort out the care system?

CarpeVinum · 19/12/2013 19:46

Spero seem incapable of accurate quotation. Should I tell the BSB?

You are so damn fast out the trap to point out what you percieve as the errors of others. Social workers, lawyers, medics, judges.. you stand here, after what you have posted and emailed to people on this thread.... and dare to stand and judge others' conduct ?

Yet when it comes to your own misconduct... known, provable and admitted fuck ups.... not a flaming dicky bird of an apology or even a teeny tiny step towards making amends. Just excuses and "yeah well it doesn't count when I do it".

So buzy screaming about an immaginary Sherwood Forest in everybody elses' eyes ... but some kind of "self awareness void" to the great big plank in your own, as evidenced by your own choices in this thread and the previous.

IMO You should resign.

But I doubt you will.

The allure of a "martyr" card ("he knew too much, they had to force him out!") to waggle when in the company of true believers ... often proves too strong.

I pretty much think we'll see you clinging on by your fingernails until the very last push. Be it from the court, your party or your consituents.

NanaNina · 19/12/2013 19:58

Yes what a shame indeed that JH is resorting to threats to report Spero to the BSB (thanks for the full title) I'm pretty sure she won't be losing any sleep over that though.

And I was surprised to hear JH that you now believe only one third of cases involving care proceedings are wrong - and the remaining two thirds are right - I'd be interested to know on what you base these assertions? Wouldn't be a wild guess by any remote chance would it.

Could you answer my question of 13.39 today please. Silly me asking you to answer a question........(sigh) will I never learn you don't answer questions.

Brilliant post as ever Carpe

Golddigger you aren't serious are you

LakeDistrictBabe · 19/12/2013 19:59

@johnhemming

You telling somebody else they can't quote or provide evidence.

I now officially want to cry. It was better I had stayed far from here.

The 'ci fai o ci sei' Italian expression could be applied to you right now.

@golddigger
I feel that I am missing something here

Don't worry. Had that impression for a long time, last 1600 posts for sure.

@Spero

Tell him he can call Sauron too. I still have half of Middle Earth on my side.

Let's see if we can all dump him into Mount Doom. That should be enough.

P.s. I actually have good news, can't say anything publicly atm though, sorry ;)

OP posts:
Golddigger · 19/12/2013 20:06

NanaNina. Well I did wonder because of Speros post this afternoon

"But he has more power and influence than anyone else on here.."

I couldnt understand why posters were attacking him if they expected and wanted his help to change the system.

LakeDistrictBabe · 19/12/2013 20:11

@johnhemming

I have previously said that I believe offences against children should be reported to police

Tell your BFF Ian Joseph, he will be so disappointed! Poor baby!

On another thread he wrote one millions comments saying that you, Booker and him are all for making families staying together, even in case of abuse. He didn't seem to grasp what abuse meant and what kind of consequences his ramblings could have and he appeared as the biggest rape/abuse apologist ever.

Alas, he got reported to Rape Crisis England and Wales for that.

OP posts:
Spero · 19/12/2013 20:11

Goldigger

I neither want nor expect his 'help'.

He has caused immense harm to a number of vulnerable people, some of whom have contacted me directly via this site.

What we have been doing however is point out just how poisonous his conspiracy theorising is because out of all the people here he is actually one who could do something to change the system.

But he choses to expend his energies defending the likes of Vicky Haigh to the House of Commons etc, etc, ad infinitum.

it might help if you at least skim through the first thread on this topic.

LakeDistrictBabe · 19/12/2013 20:17

Carpe

Could you please use the Oxford dictionary before posting such a complicated issue? :D

Because he doesn't know what "to resign out of shameful conduct" means. Also "to archive", please.

golddigger

I guess Spero was being sarcastic in that case. See, some of us have been here for the last two weeks and we're losing it a bit!

NanaNina

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you from me and DH!!

Brew Cake Thanks

But JH is quite right to hold me to high standards of proof with regard to the wrong doings I attribute to others.

Serious allegations should always be supported by clear and direct evidence. There can be no room for sensationalist and dangerous stirring about issues of such importance.

So let us remind ourselves of this letter, written to JH in response to what he thought appropriate to say - which we now know, to put it mildly, to be a perversion of the actual facts.
johnhemming.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/italian-mother-letter-from-italian.html

I will continue my trawl through the first thread. It may be helpful actually to have it all in one reasonably accessible place.

CarpeVinum · 19/12/2013 20:27

But JH is quite right to hold me to high standards of proof with regard to the wrong doings I attribute to others.

I have no issue with people holding people to high standards. I just take issue with John, an actual real live MP with the power to impact so many people's lives seems wedded to a " holding everybody, but myself, to high standards, cos I'm different and special and anyway ..."opps" counts when I say it " mindset.

Ps Do I need to go screen shot happy over there ? Getting a new even bigger flashdrive in the morning.

Spero · 19/12/2013 20:32

And this is what he said to the Daily Mail, published by the Mail online on 1st December at 00.39, with a nice big by line picture.

t may also be raised in the Commons by Lib Dem MP John Hemming, a long-standing campaigner against court secrecy, who said: ‘It is hard to avoid the suspicion that adoption targets set for Essex may have come into play.
‘We do not know whether she was held in the UK as a favour for Essex social workers. We cannot know because of the disgraceful secrecy of the courts.’

Errrrrr..John wrote under that letter UFTDU are similar to Liberty.

Coming back to this universe rather than an alternative one .... UFTDU are similar to Liberty in the way my veg patch is similar to Birmingham.

Not just in terms of size, but also in terms of number of people who have ever heard of them, media clout and importance.

LakeDistrictBabe · 19/12/2013 20:35

Spero

You had me rolling on the floor with your last post. Mischievous lady.

While you ladies trawl other threads, Lake logs off. I wouldn't like to burn the fennel marmalade.

OP posts:
Spero · 19/12/2013 20:36

And on 1st December at 20.40 JH said this

It is important to remember that at least one social worker has been fired because of recommending that a family be reunited. The system is under a lot of pressure to deliver more adoptions. That is mainly achieved by babies not returning to their parents. I have the stats.

We still await the 'proof' that any of this happened. The 'proof' offered by JH turned out to be the defence statement of the other side in on going court proceedings which actually supported the very opposite of what JH was alleging.

The much anticipated (since 2011!!) stats were finally provided this morning.... and turned out to be a spreadsheet that JH had filled in himself with numbers that he obtained from his mind goodness knows where.

LakeDistrictBabe · 19/12/2013 20:37

Carpe

I couldn't ever get the acronym right. It seems a STFU issue when I try to say it. Maybe just my mind playing jokes on me.
I am too old, sniff.
