Richard & Judy (I was ironing!) ere discussing this last night and said that everybody knows who is involved, etc. Well I don't and I'm feeling very left out! Anybody care to enlighten me?

ghengis · 04/11/2003 12:49

Don't you hate it when that happens ;O

doormat · 04/11/2003 12:50

Do you think it might be the male rape allegation????

futurity · 04/11/2003 13:01

I imagine it is something to do with that and a member of the royal family. But it is the fact that they say it would "rock the monarchy" if it came out..it can't be a minor royal then surely?

futurity I was always under the impression that it was a major royal who was involved with this.

doormat · 04/11/2003 13:06

Wasnt it supposed to have happened in Prince Charles' staff????

coppertop · 04/11/2003 13:07

I heard that male Royal was seen in bed with a male servant.

doormat · 04/11/2003 13:14

eeuugghhh
but heard this

oliveoil · 04/11/2003 13:16

Could be Edward, he is supposed to bat for the other side, or so I have heard.

coppertop · 04/11/2003 13:19

Don't think we can name names on MN so will only say that I heard it involved a married Royal who has long been suspected of not being 100% heterosexual.

doormat · 04/11/2003 13:19

would that "rock the monarchy" though oliveoil,
could it be someone higher up.

Thanx futurity now you have us playing a guessing game LOL

FineVintage · 04/11/2003 13:21

I heard that too, his name possibly, allegedly rhymes with Dandrew ??!!

futurity · 04/11/2003 13:23

LOL..sorry! But hate all this stuff in the press "we know but we can't tell you so there!" I also guessed at the "married Royal who has long been suspected of not being 100% heterosexual" but would that really "rock the monarchy" or is the press going over the top?

OP posts:
coppertop · 04/11/2003 13:26

I think it's just the press exaggerating as usual.

FineVintage · 04/11/2003 13:28

Perhaps it was the Queen with a strap on ?! Sorry tolower the tone. but I do think it's bloody ridicuous that we protect possibly the most disfunctional family in the whole of the UK !

coppertop · 04/11/2003 13:29

It would've been more interesting if the Queen had been seen in bed with a young servant. Go Lizzie!

FineVintage · 04/11/2003 13:30

My typos are also faintly ridiculous ! ThinkI'll have to change my name back to WSM as a few MNers seem to think I'm either new or a Troll

ghengis · 04/11/2003 13:32

Unless it was Charles I can't see that it would 'rock the monarchy'. Oh well, glad to know I'm not the only one in the dark about all this!

doormat · 04/11/2003 13:34

The UNusual suspects

whitewater · 04/11/2003 13:36

But, IF they WERE talking about people who are perhaps quite high up the line to the throne, say around four or fiveish, I suppose it could be seen as a 'rocking the monarchy' thing. Not that I really care, even though I cant resist commenting.

karenanne · 04/11/2003 13:44

id heard that it was about as high up as you could get...dont know if to believe it or not but it would ring true with all the other stuff coming out in the past few weeks.
there is actually quite alot of information on the web about it if you know where to look.
am i gonna get carted off to the tower now???

WSM · 04/11/2003 13:47

I'll see you there Karen !

P.S. 'Normal' service is resumed !

poppyknot · 04/11/2003 13:48

I read an interesting article last week (the Guardian - no tittle tattle there) and they asked a series of people if they knew names behind certain rumours (concerning royalty, football, 'household names' etc). All the people working for news and magazines (even the serious ones) knew and talked about it and it was common currency for them.
It was saying that there was definitley a 'them and us' when it came to this sort of knowledge and that they knowers would often tantalise with what they knew.

I am always the last to know.........
