I loved the halloween question. I personally go for the hiding option, although round here calling the police would probably be appropriate too

What on earth does knowing the answers to those questions have to do with having the knowledge you need to live in Britain? If I wanted to know how many parliamentary constituencies there are, or exactly when divorce was legalised, I'd Google it!

I bet at least 70% of the population would fail it, and what a stupidly bureaucratic waste of time and money...

really, we don't know these things - you certainly aren't taught them in school. Why are these the things that allow you to be a UK citizen?

I got 21 But I recently had to do it for my indefinate leave to remain, so I guess that is cheating somewhat!

Though I'm inclined to argue that there are many ways one might stop a child from playing tricks on you at Halloween. Calling the police might stop them. So I take issue with the question.

And why the frickety frick does half of that stuff matter? It's not particularly useful now is it?

I do know someone who has sat this test and passed. There is a book that has all the information in and lots of practise questions. Loads to learn though.

17, but I guessed most of them. I have failed but dont live in the Uk anyway, so they can't deport me- Ha!

13 for me. Luckily I left the UK 17 years ago.

You don't trick or treat in Scotland. You go guising.

The Hallowe'en one is a bit of a trick (ha!) question - the answer's in the "Trick or treat" - you get the sweets or chocolate as the treat to stop the trick. I think, anyway. I still got it wrong (I put Hide, cos that's what I do!)

Some of the questions were shchtoooooopid.

Scotland has a tradition of "guising" at halloween - you went round in costume and sang or did some other form of entertainment to try to get a few coins out of your audience. No threats involved....
