Consider the people who the tabliods who have made a special effort to make look foolish, not corrupt, just foolish as a way to discredit them with the public. Vince Cable and Prezzer. They are probably the only two with any integrity because they wouldn't play the game.

bkgirl · 17/07/2011 23:22

Maybe there is a well used underground tunnel between News International HQ and Scottie Yard? Hmm

ThisIsANiceCage · 17/07/2011 23:26

Shock at bkgirl. You could be right...

What do we think of this comment from the comments part of a Telegraph article:?

Think it is time we are going to have a major distraction soon, now that the contagion is spreading.

Go to war - already doing that unsuccessfully.

Royal Wedding - been and gone.

No football events - even the women's team lost on penalties.

Major terrorist attack?

ThisIsANiceCage · 18/07/2011 00:22

Only if you think we're really in the hands of a single controlling Them who make everything happen.

As opposed to lots of different little interest groups who often do work in confluence but at the moment are running round separately going, "The sky is falling, the sky is falling!"

Italy and/or Greece default. Collapse of Euro. China raise their interest rates, deflating China stock market. China remove artificial control that has kept the currency low. Collapse of dollar (has been world currency for ages but quantitive easing lll has made that a cheat. China then buy Barclays and other banks because they need the expertise (don't have cash machines there yet) and oil and mining companies, Rio Tinto, BP, etc (ditto). China has natural resources but not the expertise in banking and mining/minerals/oil. They have no deficit but a national wealth fund.

(have this on crap authority so disregard this)

Terribletriplets · 18/07/2011 00:31

On i-phone hence typos!

(all that on crap authority, but good conspiracy theory, but not my best)

SpeedyGonzalez · 18/07/2011 00:53

NiceCage - do you mean these folks?

Gosh, it's all very mwa ha ha harrr, isn't it?

suburbophobe · 18/07/2011 01:05

Pluto in Capricorn - wonderful...

since 2008 - what a coincidence!

The collapse of the western business/banking world.

US/Arab Spring/EU etc.

Pluto = things hidden brought up to the light in order to be transformed

Capricorn = government, business, conglomorations, corporate power etc.

Astrology is so spot on! I love it!

It's all happening on a personal and collective level.

(Remember the judge complaining this week about the amount of divorce and family breakdown in society at the moment?).

Don't worry, it will get better eventually!

David Cameron is a liar and is in the pockets of Rebecca and Rupert. He never once spoke up against the wicked witch and Rupert.

They gave him the coverage to win the elections. So the British public were deceived by Cameron by getting the best media converage from Rupert and co.

Cameron and Osborne are rich toffs who has no care or understanding of the need and poor.

Cameron know about the activities of Coulsen when he employed him. Now he left high and dry.

Cameron is getting away with murder. He knows more that he is letting on and I believe he told the police to go easy with Rebecca.

He his worse than Blair. He taking us into the war with Libya, I do not see any other country spending millions aday like Cameron, then he says we have no money but has millions to spend on the war and to give billions as way to India, who is the richest most fastest growing super power country and gives money to pakistan, where they hide their terroists for years ie Bin Ladon and Cameron gives so much to africa, where the dicators use the money for their private planes.

David Cameron is the most inexperienced Prime Minister. He made such a silly comment that he had a vision and dream that we should give billions away to africa as he watched live aide.

He should know that the money we gave was spent on Dicators private planes and went into their pockets.

I have a vision and dream for Cameron and go to be removed from Government.

Least Ed miliband has guts and shown a lot of strengh and courage by sticking up against Rupert and Rebecca.

He is genuine and honest. my respect for this man has grown and he cares for the poor and needy.

It is refreshing to see a honest politian.

I have will never believe a word slimy Cameron and George Osborne says.

EldritchCleavage · 18/07/2011 06:50

ooh, a relative of mine goes to Bilderberg Group. Must ask what's going to happen next...

NormanTebbit · 18/07/2011 06:56

Pluto in Capricorn! Of course!

lionheart · 18/07/2011 08:39

So what would happen if, perchance, Cameron did resign? Clegg? Some other bod? An election?

BornSicky · 18/07/2011 09:00

clegg would temporarily become PM whilst the tories elected a new leader, who would then takeover.

i suspect the libdems would then take that opportunity to leave the coalition, and then a snap election would follow.

lionheart · 18/07/2011 09:04

Interesting times.

ThisIsANiceCage · 18/07/2011 10:56

Bilderberg Group - that's the name. Yes, that was indeed what I was thinking of. Grin

Of course, Bilderberg's not the only agglomeration of diverse groups who find their interests best served by working together - at the moment.

And Rupes has just found out what happens when the other people at your picnic suddenly decide their interests no longer match yours. Whoopsie.

Although actually he is a Bilderberger. And a member of the World Economic Forum. So this will be interesting...

OP posts:
BornSicky · 18/07/2011 11:10

what really annoys me is all these people get to resign. if any of us mere mortals behaved like this we would be fired for gross misconduct. no pension, no pay off and no severance.

why, in the name of arse, doesn't somone step up and fire people like yates with immediate effect?

we mere mortals are paying for them and all their nice resignation perks.

bkgirl · 18/07/2011 11:18

Yep bornsickey - you are right. Even this paul stephenson business...I bet he gets a nice pay off. A regular copper who had been caught getting a kebab for free sure wouldn't AND the met is cost cutting.

The other thing is how many of these dodgy folk have the title "sir" do they all buy them? (oh wait they do...cash for honours) Also Rupert Murdoch just took our good sports off terrestrial tv and is selling them back to us for billions ....he has a licence to print money and our government think its ok because cameroon and croonies enjoy his hospitality (I know labour were just as bad).
Frankly it stinks.

ImpyCelyn · 18/07/2011 11:18

yy BornSicky, couldn't agree more. It's just so galling knowing that they've walked away to be comfortable for the rest of their lives.

teejwood · 18/07/2011 11:21

Statement on Yates due in an hour?? Do we think he is jumping/being pushed?

Terribletriplets · 18/07/2011 11:27

If, hypothetically, RB were to be tried, and if she was found guilty, the judge could fine her three and a half million pounds, or whatever her payoff was. Instead of doing time. Or in addition to.

teejwood · 18/07/2011 11:28

Kushi sorry to burst your bubble. DC's decision on Coulson was wrong but he and the Tories are not alone in the cuddling up to NI stakes. GB was culpable too (as was Tony before him, John before him, Maggie before him etc) and therefore it is likely that some of the people around him were, too.
And as i said before, EM making progress on this issue is like shooting fish in a barrel. My concern is that he only stepped up to the plate after seemingly a slight delay because he was evaluating exactly how much of this might come back to slap him in the face, too.

Moreover, if we give Labour a bye on this issue then it does nothing to change things.

teejwood · 18/07/2011 11:28

oh interesting info, triplets...

BornSicky · 18/07/2011 11:30

i hope someone gives him a collosal shove.

we can't do anything about private businesses - they can decide to get rid of people involved how ever they please, but public officials should be accountable. and that means the end of all these "glorious" resignations with self-serving speechifiying when they do.

"oh woe is me, I have to resign, cos I'm 'onorable guv, and it wasn't me guv, but i'm 'onorable guv, i did my best (i deserve my pension), I didn't know (i was in the chippy buying a late night snack when it happened), it was so and so (obviously i'm too good to have done this) and please sir, can I keep my sir and my pension and a nice pay off... cos I'm so good."
