Just realised that for the first time ever (I think) I'm cheering on the Tories against Labour!

OMG I'm going to have to rush out and buy a union jack and get my hair done in a blue rinse. I found myself saying during PM "Good on yer, Tories" about them not supporting the 90 days extension this evening.

Do I have to move to Surrey now?

Weird, I'm just the same.

Strange feeling...

HRHQoQ · 09/11/2005 14:24

NO NO NO......you're not supporting the Tories - you're supporting the Lib Dems (I could never bring myself to cheer on the Tories LOL).

wessexgirl · 09/11/2005 14:25

I'm with HRHQoQ - you go, Lib Dems!

expatinscotland · 09/11/2005 14:26

once I heard the DUP and Ian Paisley were bolstering up the vote for the 90 days (knowing what fans they were of interrment without trial in Northern ireland like)
I'm now also staging a backbench rebellion

Heathcliffscathy · 09/11/2005 14:27

no you don't (need to move to surrey). me too. basically we desperately need an opposition. libdems just haven't seized it as far as i can see when they really could have. so that leaves tories. don't like them. but like an uncontested meglomaniac running the country even less.

can't believe he is sending for brown and thingy for tonight's vote. it is such a massive ego trip and after reports of compromise on the 90 day thing can only be seen as such imo.

having said all of that i'm so completely out of touch, do they ahve a leader yet????

No, the two Davids were on Woman's Hour this morning, and oh God, no, what's happening to me... they both came over quite well.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh - my clothes are turning blue.... my hair is going blonde... my voice is getting deeper....

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgh!!!

lol Cal!
I was always rather fond of dear William Hague (especially as he has a Welsh wife.)

piffle · 09/11/2005 14:32

Didn't one of the tabloids name them dumb and dumber this week?

piffle · 09/11/2005 14:32

Mr Hague became a lot more likeable once he dispensed with his Tory leaderness

moondog · 09/11/2005 14:33

Oooh,d'you think piffle??
Why??

JoolsToo · 09/11/2005 14:33

well I voted Conservative last time and I couldn't give a hoot what anyone thinks. Phony Blair makes my teeth itch.

twinsetandpearls · 09/11/2005 14:45

I am a fully paid up canvassing , leaflet dropping, fundraising serial meeting attender Labour voter and I have to admit that I warmed to the David's during Womans Hour and I can't believe that the Tories are the ones protecting our civil liberties.

THe DUP were on the world at one and were clearly out for a bargain with Blair in return for there votes.
