She lost it BIG TIME on Libby Purves's Midweek programme. Was shrieking at the top of her voice at Darcus Howe.

There was a sort of post-traumatic stress counselling thread just afterwards for those of us who witnessed it.

Guess there may be edited highlights on pm in a minute!

Personally I think it's a disgrace for the beeb to be plugging the repeat of Midweek - yes, it's on again at 9.30pm - by pretending it's a news item. FGS.

my dad came and told me joan collins had lost it and had a huge argument with Darcus Howe. I thought that was a bit strange. Joan rivers? Ah. Now it makes sense.

This was genuinely pretty amazing. I was in the car half listening on my way back from seeing the kids' headmaster. The moment where Libby Purves turned to her next-up guest and said "would you like to tell us about plant photography" has to be one of the best radio moments this year. Respect. I like Libby Purves anyway, but this was truly great. I want to be her when I grow up
