Evening!

Ali, fingers crossed!

Oh Plum, hate manure smell. It was making me sick on our walk yesterday.

DS words he learns are so random, he can now say seeds and compost.

So our afternoon was a little and

Went for walk, DS started refusing to hold my hand half-way round, was stropping and sitting down in the shop etc.
Then in the park he was having a great time until he tried to stand up as I was stopping the roundabout and tipped forward and bashed his forehead on the rough wooden seat edge in front of him. It's all bruised and grazed.

He's ok though, and THEN, we did boob before stories and he went to bed with barely a murmur.

So my nerves are completly frazzled for the day.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 22/04/2010 11:11

Hooray Ali!

Have a busy afternoon today, got to pick dd up from preschool at 12, have lunch, go to toddler group then straight to a party 4 - 6, then walk the 45 mins back home and try to get the dc to bed.

Am feeling pretty pissed off, on tuesday I saw one of the people who never replied about my party and she was really apologetic, said she had really wanted to come, we should get together soon etc. So yesterday H said he'd have the dc fri night and I text her asking if she wanted to get together, said we could go out or she could come here or I could go to hers if her h was working and she had to stay in...just said I didn't want to spend yet another night alone especially as I didn't have the dc so was actually able to leave the house for once. Guess what? She hasn't replied again. I wouldn't care if she said she already had plans just think it is a bit rude not to even let me know, especially as I have told her before how bored and lonely I get sometimes. It just upsets me a bit because she is someone who I thought was a good friend but she actually doesn't seem to care at all.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 22/04/2010 11:16

Oops pressed post too soon.

DS has covered a chair in chocolate handprints I was hanging out the washing and he climbed up and got the chocolate and now it's all over the cream armchair, him and a few dribbled bits on the floor.

I have a window cleaner update. He DOES have a gf, we were chatting for hours last night and discussed that. He's only been with her a couple of months but it's going well so far. We kind of got all the it's a shame, what if stuff out the way and have agreed that we have both found a good friend in the other. Despite me going on about how fit he is for the past couple of months I feel quite relieved, this way I get friendship (and yes a little bit of light flirting!) but without the pressure of a relationship. (Although I might be a little less relieved in a couple of weeks when I am ovulating and gagging for it ). I'm finding it quite wierd how easily and openly I can talk to him though, on here it is easy because noone really knows me and can't see me plus it's typing not actual talking but I can talk to him in pretty much the same way and there aren't many rl people I can do that with...

FreakoidOrganisoid · 22/04/2010 12:40

Maybe JKS, but I can be quite bad but always respond to invites (especially if no) because I don't like letting people down... Eg I would hate to think of someone doing nothing because I had left them hanging and hadn't given them a chance to make other plans iyswim (af came today so I know I am being slightly hormonal about it!)

wastingaway · 22/04/2010 12:59

Afternoon! Freaky, sorry about your 'friend'. It's really nice that wc is lovely and you can be friends.

I'm going to prise DH out of bed in a mo.

DS is driving me nuts again. Barely eating anything, whinging, not leaving me alone. Bah!

Been to Morrisons and had lunch, will do some more before I update the list.

cikecaka · 22/04/2010 15:55

Will be back later with a list but have just spotted this

Housework is a dreadful chore,
Its repetition is a bore,
Many of us tend to complain,
About the chaos of our domain.

How often do we make a stand,
Refuse to work or lift a hand,
Instead we do the daily grind,
Pretending we don't really mind.

All we want is appreciation,
For our effort and dedication.
Or better still, flowers sent,
With a precious compliment.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 22/04/2010 19:10

Evening everyone

I've had a bit of a shit day today. The painter didn't turn up this morning, she rang at 9am to say that her nan was in hospital so she had been there all night. She said she would ring later and that she was planning to come here later in the day and do some work. She rang at almost 5pm to say that THE FAMILY had all been summoned from London (ie the nan is about to die) and that she won't be in tomorrow.
I am sympathetic, I've been in that position, just waiting for someone to go and it's awful, but she could have rung sooner to say she wasn't coming back today. I'm also cross because now I've got the kitchen all arse about face all weekend. I feel like a mean old cow but I can't help being a bit annoyed. She has said she will be here 8am Monday 'regardless'. I am tempted to finish the painting myself tomorrow, she has done all the hard bits.

Also, DS tipped his buggy over earlier because I forgot to strap him in and he had a nosebleed. He was in lots of pain, his little body was going rigid in between the sobs He seems fine now, but he banged his nose so I'm expecting to see a black eye in the morning

Wasting - can you not just join DH in bed rather than hauling him out?
And thank you, DS is a sweetie - most of the time! Today he has sorely tried my patience, his new trick is to throw bricks at people including my friend's 8 week old!! Fortunately he has terrible aim, and my friend is v.understanding having a 20mo herself.

Freak - I am so glad that he isn't an arse, that would have been a disappointment. And I'm pleased you have a lovely new friend
And just because he has a GF now doesn't mean he will forever
