Evening.

Oh Ali. It really is chaos, isn't it.

DS doesn't mind having his feet measured, he always looks slightly bemused.

I'm working up to getting his fluffy hair cut. I faked attempting to cut it earlier and he was not impressed and tried to grab the scissors, so me doing it is out of the question.
I'm thinking I may get some clippers and whip it all off.

Anyway, we've had a grand day, DH had some good work news and I've done an exercise DVD.

See you in the morning.

JustKeepSwimming · 20/04/2010 21:45

Wasting - sounds good with DH and work, what does he do?

JKS - well I don't know really. They still have the flights to Madrid, but haven't been able to book anything in the way of trains to get home from there. He has been working in the Washington office today and someone there is trying to book some different flights - hopefully to the UK! - asap. I have resigned myself to not seeing him until next Monday, so anything else will be a bonus.

Now I must get off my arse and go and sort the kitchen out. It will only take me about 15 mins but I mustn't leave it until the morning because the painter is coming at 8am!

Have already made a huge lasagne (yesterday) for tonights dinner and it will do another night too, plus we still have some chicken curry leftover from last night, so just got to organise what to have on what night.

Freakoid thanks for the update. Sorry about your party. Did you get to eat all the yummy food yourself though??

I"ve been a bit sad too this week and missing my old friends. When you have kids you become a bit of a social outcast don't you.

wastingaway · 21/04/2010 13:39

Plum, not yet.

HMHB, nice to see you, hope we can smooth your way through the weekend.

I feel very isolated from my friends, but there's things to be done.
I seperated boob from sleep by putting him in his grobag after his feed, and am taking the revolutionary step of having stories after boob tonight. I'll keep tweaking it til I can go out at any time.

  • Me up, showered and dressed done
  • beds made, windows and curtains open done
  • DS up, nappy changed and dressed, then downstairs for boob done

FreakoidOrganisoid · 21/04/2010 13:49

HMHB Yes, we had indian snacks for dinner one night and chinese the next (with olives and caesar salad-good fusion ) and all the crisp/chocolate/cake stuff has now been eaten (maybe why I have a massive spot).

I feel like a massive outcast too, all I do is sit by myself night after night. Most people I know here are really busy and can never just get together, for eg today H said he would have the dc friday night so I have text a few people to see if any of them are free, either for me to go round there or to go out or something but they are all busy (or maybe I should just take the hint and realise that actually noone here like me )

PlumBumMum · 21/04/2010 13:53

HMHB I'm 33 and remember it,
they were on VH1 bands reunited, you will probably know the chorus of one of their songs
Too Shy shy, hush hush, eye to eye

do you know that??

Ooh I recognise that!

We've just planted some sunflower seeds.
Was hoping to go round to SILs but they're out again.

Need to change DS nappy and freshen us up, then off out. Not sure where, but Ds needs a walk.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 21/04/2010 14:22

I just googled it and I do know the song!

Ds came for a cuddle and has fallen asleep.Am using it as an excuse for an extended sit down

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 21/04/2010 15:06

PBM - I know who it is. Ace. Am humming the tune. Is it the lead singer, if so has he still got silly hair (as my Dad would say)?

Wasting - planted seeds with DS a week or so ago and I am far more excited about the seedlings than he is sadly .
