Powering on through now. My back is killing me though (baby car seat prob). .

8 mins past 7pm on Friday. Cracking open a lager imminently (sad lack of white wine in the biscuit household).

have nearly finished lager...

AmazingBouncingFerret · 12/02/2010 20:54

Im budgied.
This is the first time ive managed to get online in 2 days.
My flat is a tip. My hair needs washing and I generally feel like shit.
My Grandma seems to be getting worse, we had paramedics out yesterday, they said its a water infection. She has steroids, more AB's and some diazipan for when she gets to agitated. She has no coordination, she couldnt feed herself at all, so I was doing that for her. Sometimes she ok to to talk other time its just gobbledegook. Luckily she has carers so I dont have to deal with the other end!
Im sorry TMI but this morning I arrived to chaos as she had "messed" herself in the early morning and tried to change her incontinence nappy herself.
I just feel so bad for my dad he has to deal with it all day every day. It's so distressing to see her like this.

My list for tomorrow.

Get up and sort out kids breakfasts.
Get DS dressed.
Get myself showered and dressed.
Kick out DH and DS so they can go food shopping and swimming.
Give DD a bath.
Have the most perfect baby in the world that will sit and watch me clean the flat and do all the washing.
Feed DD
Wash and sterilise bottles.
Put shopping away.
Meet sister to go shopping for mums present.
DD lunch feed.
Hopefully get sister to take the reins with DD so I can get some more cleaning and washing done. (inc her second lunch feed)
Go and see how Grandma is doing.
Bitch like hell about other family members not seeing her for several years. Whilst drinking coffee.
Shower.
Get DD and DS ready for mums birthday meal.
Go out and try and relax!

kansasmum · 13/02/2010 07:54

Oh my I am first up today! That'll be thanks to my DS who decided that 5.15 was a good time to wake up!

Here's my list for today:

Get washed and dressed.
Clean up kitchen after breakfast.
Off to M&S to get one of their Dine in for £20 meals for dh and me tonight!
Back home and sort out laundry.
Wash car and hoover and clean out.
If it stays dry- gardening.
Taxi driver for the girls at various points!
Finish thank you cards for DS' b'day pressies.
Cook dinner with dh and chill out with bottle of Cava!

Hope everyone has a good day!

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 13/02/2010 09:23

Amazing - sorry to hear that things are hard for you. Sounds awful to see your gran like that. Hope you manage to get what you need done today. Don't worry if you can't manage everything!

Morning Kansasmum - DD awoke at 5am for a feed then went back to sleep, then her big brother turned up in the room at 6.50am so we all had to get up. So much for the lie in I was trying to arrange.

Hello ladies, hope everyone is enjoying their weekends!

Trinity - how've you been today?

We are having a lovely weekend with our friends, nice walk to the pub today and then DS went to sleep at 8.30pm so have had a nice childfree evening with wine and a film. The best news is that Mrs Friend is 12 weeks pregnant with their first baby, yay!

Argh, that is DS waking up, must go. Will be back with a list at some point tomorrow afternoon.

You must all think I'm man obsessed what with fit fence man, fit window cleaner and now plum's BIL I'm not really honest! Not looking for anything atm but am starting to dust myself off and see it as a possibility in the future

Ali sounds like a lovely weekend.

Hope Trinity is doing ok today

lisianthus · 14/02/2010 20:49

Ferret - I really hope things are getting better and your poor Gran is finding her new meds are working out.

My place is a tip too and I don't have your excuse. Got hardly any sleep last night (and not much during the week). Was late to mass due to zoning out in the shower and got no cleaning done at all today. I did two meals, the grocery shopping and a couple of loads of laundry. It's something I guess.

Still have lots of boxes that need clearing. Am worried about the amount of stuff about when DD starts crawling.

Freakoid, - am impressed by your get up and go! (and the number of fit men in your vicinity!)

Must go and make dinner. I have just got DD to sleep. I hope to goodness she sleeps a bit longer tonight. At one point last night, I fed her for an hour and a half, she finally fell asleep, then started crying again 25 minutes later. I could have cried myself. Am reading the No-Cry Sleep Solution book as fast as I can. I am on page 98.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 14/02/2010 21:21

lisi you poor thing, how old is DD? I can sympathise, DS is an awful sleeper still at 18 months old.

We have had a lovely weekend, DH made yummy pancakes for brunch today and friends left about 2pm. We have spent the afternoon vegging, and DS was fast asleep at the underheard of hour of 8pm

Very little list tonight, my brother and his gf are coming for lunch tomorrow and I don't want to be in a flap in the morning.

DONE
Put a wash on
DS bath and bed
Tidy living room

TO DO
Unload dishwasher
Tidy kitchen
Wipe highchair and coffee tables
Go to bed before 11pm!

PlumBumMum · 14/02/2010 23:49

eVENING all abit tipsy just finished off my wine from Sainsburys meal for 2, pinot grigio qite nice

How was everyone elses meal for 2?

Freaky my BIL is lovely but unfortunately his ex has left him quite bruised, is the best I can describe it, everyone thought she was lovely, she was even my bridesmaid, but she was a liar and a cheat, and I think he is trust is broken

anywAY i DID ALL my ironing today while watching The Time Travellers Wife and bawled my eyes out

I loved it, even though dh thought I was mad because I knew how it ended and cried anyway, but I know I will cry again if I watch it

dcs are off for half term so need to plan some activities
