HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 11/02/2010 11:19

ok not so much amusing but embarrassing to the health visitors running the baby massage class.

Week before last after the massage there was a general chat where the HV's suggested various things for the babies and said that we should all be doing our pelvic floor excercises but they wouldn't go round the room and check.

The next week they were doing the general chat thing and one naive HV decided to ask each mum (in front of all the others) if they were doing their pelvic floor excercises (and I was thinking this is sooo a bad idea). 4 mums in and they came to a lady who said she is not doing her Pelvic floor excercises because she has just had an op to repair damage due to birth. I cringed massively on behalf of HV's and poor lady who probably did not want to talk about that issue in front of twenty other people she doesn't know. The HV said 'oh, um, err' and moved on swiftly to another topic.

Sorry, doesn't seem as funny now I've written it down but at the time I was thinking that was the worst group I've ever been too. Esp as I will be seeing a consultant soon about damage done by DD on entry to the world.

DD and I having much better day at home with fire on and bit of tv than in freezing cold village hall with inept HV's.
