we dont do the shoe thing
we aren't the flylady thread
I never wear shoes in the house
not for cleanliness just cause if I could I would never wear shoes

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 08/02/2010 20:55

Welcome Ferret

Lisianthus, we aren't flylady, they have a daily thread too though. V. welcome here though if flying isn't for you

FreakoidOrganisoid · 08/02/2010 20:56

God no, no shoes here. I think we are quite similar to fly in as much as we want to get on top of the housework but we have less rules and just make our own list rather than having a common mission. I think?

Welcome to everyone

I want another G&T

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 08/02/2010 20:56

sorry meant that you can't see the rubbish post on this page.

lisianthus - any shoes ok

lisianthus · 08/02/2010 21:07

Thank goodness! Thanks Trinity.

Well, in that case, my list for tomorrow is:

  1. make list [tick!]
  1. make DH's omelette/coffee
  1. feed DD
  1. feed DD her BLW breakfast
  1. Bath DD, change her clothes
  1. Clean kitchen and mop floor
  1. Get DD to sleep, shower/clean bathroom/make bed
  1. Unpack a box.
  1. Read to DD.
  1. Repeat 2-6 for lunch

  2. Get DD to sleep

  3. Repeat 2-6 for dinner.

  4. Get DD to sleep.

  5. Dust.

  6. Vacuum something.

PlumBumMum · 08/02/2010 21:12

RIGHT have just read thread, didn't see the point of posting to explain the reasons behind our lists,
and to me its not really about the lists it is about the people on the threads keeping us motivated

and she obviously didn't read them very well or she would have seen I've been cleaning windows this week

We are quite like fly, and freak you are forgetting we did give ourselves common missions remember Martha Stewart & Anthea

cikecaka · 08/02/2010 21:15

My God I was only gone for a couple of hrs, What happened. Welcome everyone new and returning

FreakoidOrganisoid · 08/02/2010 21:15

Oh yes! and the cheesecake brownies

cikecaka · 08/02/2010 21:19

I remember Plum, it was all started about me cleaning my 'hot press' (airing cupboard)

lisianthus · 08/02/2010 21:21

oops - cross posts - and thanks Alibabaandthe40nappies, FreakoidOrganisoid and HalfMumHalfBiscuit also!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 08/02/2010 21:21

Yep CC and mine is still tidy

JustKeepSwimming · 08/02/2010 21:22

The cheesecake brownies!! Oh yum, make have to make some more!!!
Yes but wasn't our mission to watch the video? Fly would be to actually fold our towels....
I know some of you did, i jsut tried the once then got fed up with it

Welcome to all newbies, we are a friendly bunch here

Lisianthus - liking the 2-6 approach

PlumBumMum · 08/02/2010 21:22

Oh CC someone started thread in AIBU about our lists, it all got abit nasty, and then she posted on here

FreakoidOrganisoid · 08/02/2010 21:24

You're welcome

Turning off now, MN before bed leads to bad sleep for some reason so am off to read my book

cikecaka · 08/02/2010 21:26

I remember that happening before, I posted on the thread but someone came and rescued me and dragged me back to this thread! Let them think what they want, my house is clean because of this thread, so let them sneer away, I am happy on this thread!

GoldenSnitch · 08/02/2010 21:33

Another one who didn't know about the slatterns thread until the awful AIBU!!

I've tried flying but can't do the shoes or the daily e-mails or post-its...can I join you guys?

Have an almost 3 year old and a 7 week old and am finding it hard to achieve anything at the mo!

wastingaway · 08/02/2010 21:47

Welcome to all the new ladies!

One of the things I love about this thread is that it's so flexible. We can take things from Anthea, Martha and Flylady as we wish, some of us have ongoing lists and sometimes I can only plan 3 tasks ahead, but we get the support we need.

and in turn the ironing is backing up again[grr]

OH FFS I was busy reading that thread I forgot I had tomorrow nights dinner simmering and my gravy for my pie filling has completely evapourated

Trinity you amaze me. you write a list for tomorrow then get half of it done today.
DS wouldnt let me write while he fed so I'm off to bed and write my list on paper instead of my bedtime read. I'll add it in the morning

TrinityIsFallingApart · 08/02/2010 23:07

Ot's why it worls so much for me
I write it down, its out of my head
I feel like I can breathe inmy head again iyswim
and then I get all competitive with myself and think I can do one
and then once I'm up I might do another one

love it
see you tomorrow guys
