Thanks all for bday wishes - v sweet of you all .

Garden visit was good but could only go about 4cm before my back started hurting. Sent my Dad to have a good look round whilst I sat in the rose garden. V. lovely. Have eaten near body weight in scones / jam / cream and lashings of proper tea. Dad now doing gardening !

Ali - Yes I mean changing bag. Will check out the stork sacs

Looks like everyone is doing well with the jobs. May go and put washing out / supervise the gardening...

Also - Organised Mum Diary has arrived . Will use to fuel my obsessions before baby arrives and chaos returns to the shire.

Jobs
Put washing away
Put more washing out
Gestate 37 weeks doing
Get bathroom rug
Fix internet onging
Usual masses of filing
Book facial for birthday etc.
Start using new diary
Buy more trousers for DS
Pack bigger hospital bag!
Buy few things for hospital e.g. extra pants
Think of baby names! - eek
Get some early nights
Buy new lovely nappy changing bag that doesn't fall to bits - any ideas anyone? This is a particular obsession of mine and feel the urge to get a really nice one
Pack new changing bag with lots of obsessional/unnecessary new lovely baby stuff.

Before October

Clear out and defrost freezer and fill with delicious ready meals
Buy lots of 'healthy' snack type stuff to eat on the run
Get out all baby clothes from under the bed and check done
Make space in DS's bedroom for baby clothes and stuff
Put up crib.
Get some DVD's to watch whilst breastfeeding
Sort kitchen food cupboards

I have been SUCH a slattern today. DH even cooked the dinner . I've had the best part of a bottle of wine this evening, 'tis yummy. I'm not even going to post my updated list, because there isn't much to update!
Tomorrow we are going to Southampton, Ikea to get shelves for the utility and John Lewis to look at lamps (the one we had in the living room has broken).

Flylady is too scary for me. I don't wear shoes at home, ever, so that's me failed at point one!

alwayslookingforanswers · 25/09/2009 22:11

this is the "failed flyladies" thread (or at least that's why it was started. I do like her crisis cleaning (minus the shoes) - but the rest of it just doesn't work for me.

I must have made some progress today - just made a coffee on the worktop next to the sink and didn't have to a) search for a space to make it b) search for the coffee and sugar c) try and "sort of" clean the space before using it

Yeah, I don't do shoes in the house, and flylady is very cult-like, but she has lots of good ideas and I incorporate some.

DS had no nap today at all, hope it doesn't mean the night gets disturbed.

Got my very unambitious list done today.
Lots to do tomorrow while DH can play with DS.

Tomorrow-

  • DS boobed, changed and dressed
  • Me showered and dressed
  • breakfast
  • wash and dry pots
  • sort dry washing and put away
  • empty bins, take rubbish and recycling out
  • pick up rubbish in front garden
  • tidy living room

I need 2 i think, current one has no marking on any more! and will prob need to refresh the next one before we are back in a hosp. Tried the chemists and they said that they don't stock them, only hospitals do. Do I have Cat? i have no idea but think i do.... will try you in a mo
