Lists for the Slatternly - May edition

Okay, I am clearly worrying way too much about this but there are only a few spaces left in the old thread!

(What do I think will happen if we finish without a new list? We'll just make a new one. Relax woman!)

Please finish the old thread before starting on this one - there could be a prize if you are number 1000.

plum the woman behind the counter did say he shouldn't bring it in again. To be fair it was very well behaved until he got his cakes and then it started to attack his paper bag - that made me laugh!

Morning everyone,DD3 up since 6.30, had everyone awake cause I didnt get up with her so had to fight to get on computer. DD1 singing at communion mass this morning, thats at 11 and we have baby music class at 12.15. Not going to stress about too much this morning and try and get loads done after dinner

Have abandoned thoughts of going to baby music as it is raining though the sun is trying to shine, have copied my list from yesterday to try and get some done

Morning (just) everyone. I don't do weekend lists at the moment but wanted to say hi.

I second the idea that no cake is ever iced too badly to eat - mess it up a bit moer so you can't see what it was supposed to be and call it 'rustic'

Well done Trinity, do you think list-making is working?

Plum - how do you make pavlova?

IS it really unhygienic to have a parrot on your shoulder? If it sits still? Obviously is bad if it flies into the cakes and stuff, but just sitting there it'd be no worse than, say, Amy Winehouses's hair.

Have done nothing constructive as such this morning but have been to town, picked up another library book, been to cake stall held by my friends mum for parkinsons disease and been to the park so really had a lovely morning except i have now got sand inbetween my toes from the sandpit - yuk!

Right just nipped on while waiting for white choc to cool for cheesecake

Trillian pavlova is easy, make sure bowl and utensils are spotless, then whisk 3 egg whites to soft peaks then, gradually sift in 175 g of castor sugar whisk until stiff white peaks, you should be able to hold bowl over your head and meringue(sp) won't move

(but even if it dosen't go really stiff bake it anyway)
140C for 1 1/4

I put a layer of sliced strawberries crushed flake then whipped cream layer of strawbeeries and flake again also nice if you drizzle passionfruit on

Still abit more to do
Playpark area is like a bog so we lifted all the toys out of there and put them in front garden
dh washed them and garden chairs
Pavlova is done
cheesecake is done
dh is going to get pizza
I'm going to change beds, hoover and bath dcs
I have a mini bottle of wine chilling in the fridge (medicinal purposes only)
Need to shower, all I can smell is fake tan, dosen't smell bad but don't like it

Plum good luck for tomorrow, i'm sure everyone will have a lovely time.

Dh will be home about 11pm and i haven't done a great deal, so have a very rare saturday night list as i don't want him coming home to a messy house (well, not too messy )

Clean DD up
Put DD into bed
Tidy living room
Tidy kitchen
Empty dishwasher
Reload dishwasher
Empty tumble
Put washing in tumble
Give the bathroom a quick wipe over
Have a bath

Well done trinity i do find i get a little bit competitive with myself now, if i've got nearly everything done and there is one more job to do then i generally try to get it done just because it is on my list. It can really help when you're feeling down because you can have a mini list and it kind of motivates you. I've always been a bit keen on lists though (slightly unhealthy)

Clean DD up done
Put DD into bed done
Tidy living room done
Tidy kitchen done
Empty dishwasher done
Reload dishwasher done
Empty tumble done
Put washing in tumble (was empty, had already done it earlier)
Give the bathroom a quick wipe over
Have a bath

Will do the last two on my way to bed
