Okay, I am clearly worrying way too much about this but there are only a few spaces left in the old thread!

(What do I think will happen if we finish without a new list? We'll just make a new one. Relax woman!)

Hello everyone!

You've done fab today Trinity. Agree with alice, the mini lists are great. They really helped me on Friday when I was getting anxious, I'd done loads by the end of the day.

Fingers crossed for the weather tomorrow Plum, hope it all goes well. Sounds tasty anyway!

Well, after deciding to cancel the bbq and just do a sausage roll and bhaji type spread, it didn't rain til about 4! Still everyone enjoyed sitting outside and I could leave my nappies on the line as there was no bbq smoke! [housewife]
It was all shop-bought, but I made coleslaw and I did my awesome potato salad with bacon and boiled eggs in.
My Aunty made the cake and it was brilliant, as always. And everyone had a fab time, specially DS. He looked a bit paranoid when everyone sang happy birthday!

To do:-

Drink lager
Watch some Flight of the Conchords
Maybe knit

I love a list.

I think it started when my dad got a personal organiser from his work when I was a kid. He'd been on a 'time management' course. It was the early days of the file-o-fax. He even had a list of lists! - I think he still does.

Good morning everyone We have a lovely sunny day here, i hope everyone (especially plum) has a lovely sunny day too.

I am off to help at a show today and hopefully jump my horse this afternoon. So no list for today.

I have just remembered that FIL is coming up on wednesday, so have a couple of day's crisis cleaning on monday and tuesday.
Here is the list:
Sort all clothes out - put away properly
Clear out bathroom unit - be ruthless!!
Clean bathroom - move books out!!
Hoover thoroughly upstairs and on stairs
Clear stairs off
Clear out hall, hoover and dust
Clear all kitchen sides
Hoover kitchen
Mop kitchen/hall/bathroom
Clear dining room table
Tidy tv unit
Tidy stereo unit
Get some more painting done
Hoover living room and sofas
Wash sofa throws

Some of this is must do and some is just if i have the time. He will only be here for the day and won't exactly be nosying around but i feel he notices stuff iyswim? He is really nice and i get on with him really well but i just think he feels i'm kind of lazy, but i will show him - I AM A LIST MAKER!!

Sunshine here, Dh meant to be taking ds1 out at some point, i actually have lots of indoor organising pre-birthday stuff to do but will hopefully get in the garden too.

• send DH out with ds1 again & friend's Dh & their DD
• continue DS2's drugs (put in diary when he should increase to the half dose, 3/4 dose & full dose) 1DoseDone

• read papers & do crosswords started
• buy last bits needed to make cake for ds1 & friends shared party on Fri SomeBought

• start on next batch of cards (loads of birthdays coming up)
• find out if colleague wants to work here tomorrow (means i can work at home) as office computers are buggered having technical issues

We had the night from hell here dd1 started throwing up at 5pm followed by DD3 at around 9pm . Both of them ended up in bed with me while DP slept in other room . We fell into a deep sleep at about 4am but until then one puked then 10 mins later another one did Both seem fine this morning and are complaining because I wont let them have cereal only toast .

Please can I join, I've been eyeing the threads since their inception but it's taken me this long to accept that I'm a fully fledged slattern. I tried Flylady but great as it sounds it's too damn organised for me.

What do I do? Make a list and check things off when they are done, short and long term?

I'm pretty depressed about the state of my house, I yearn for the peace and sanity of sanctuary home but what I have is a whole bunch of good intentions, a floordrobe and a helluva of messy toddler.

Longer term I'm hopeful that the listmaking will help. I'm always thinking of things that I need to do and then getting sidetracked.
