I was fine driving, not great at parking though - we've got these alloy wheels on the car that I am not to scratch and the only parking outside our flat requires you to do a parallel park on the right-hand side . It's not too bad now cos there was a big space but if there is ever a space that's only big enough for our car (and not, as today, big enought to park two cars in to I can go back and forth to jiggle it about to get to positioning right) then I'll have to put the car on te next street and get DP to move it when he gets back .

I'm sure the curtain pole did 'just fall'. All by itself .

I expect your friend will be happy to help alice - it's not work if it's not yours and you are doing it with a friend.

Although like CC my phone does multiple alarms so I do that now if we are out and about

washed dcs bed clothes that I changed on Sat and got them hung out
put another wash on and was too lazy to hang out and now I'm raging as they would have been dried

Claireybee, If its any consolation we're the same there always seems to be something to pay for(and its always when the funds are running low)

And sorry I did mean to say hello to Dilettante yesterday, but I couldn't wait to thank you all for all my well wishes and forgot

Hello everyone!
It was DS 1st birthday today, so didn't get much done other than fun! The backpack baby carrier I ordered on Friday arrived this morning so we drove out to Brodsworth Hall and had a walk around the gardens with DS in it, he loved it!

Back to serious list-making as of tomorrow though.

I have been reading the thread, but can't remember everything I wanted to say braincells have been depleting for around, oh, a year!

I have finally come to my senses and realised that even if my house is a tip, there is not an awful lot FIL can do. However, the living room is tidy and hoovered, the hall is tidy and hoovered and so are the stairs and the kitchen is clean and hoovered. I have decided not to mop as FIL is bringing his dogs with him so that is just madness. In the morning i need to have a quick hoover round upstairs and put clean towels in the bathroom and that should do.

Still waiting to be accepted onto freecycle by the moderator. Went to B&Q and got all the paint last night £110 it came too. It would of cost more if they didn't have special offers on of all crown paint.

Hope everyone is ok really sunny here have ds off because he has to stay at home for 48 hours and he is getting cabin fever . Also dp has to take dd2 to dr's because her toe has swollen looks like an ingrowing toenail it woke her up in the night so must be hurting .

I was up until 4am thought something might be starting as had a few pains also had shocking heartburn and no tablets left. Pains stopped heartburn still there .

MM well done at getting paint you are nowhere near me or I would come and eat biscuits help .
