Well, my washing machine is full of DD's clothes and murky water and sat in a very warm room until wednesday!!! They think it is the motor.

My house looks like a bomb has hit it and i have absolutely no motivation for doing anything today. I mostly do the housework when DH is home as it means i can do a bit before he goes to work, most days he is home for lunch so can do some then too, and in the evenings. However this week it is sales and we've hardly seen him all week. I am starting to get a little stressed with appliances breaking down and only having an 18mo to talk to, and she is teething and not at her best either and AAARRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

tHANK YOU, I FEEL A BIT BETTER NOW [BLUSH]

Fck the fcking caps lock!!

cikecaka · 01/05/2009 12:36

Oh AC, you have all my sympathies with regard to the broken washing machine! My poor Dsis must have been sick of the sight of me when mine was broken! If it is only 6 months old, it must be still under guarantee. Think it has been a rotten week for most of us. Hopefully CWWM will have some good news for us to cheer us all up

wastingmyeducation · 01/05/2009 12:37

It's all go on the slatterns thread!

CWWM - Woohoo!

JKS - that's fab getting appointment, hope it goes well.

PBM - I read a post somewhere where a mum packed loads of the toys away, and then rotated the stock so to speak, so there was only so much out at a time, and the kids thought it was Christmas when she swapped them.

FAQ - I hope DH is ok, and that you're ok and can look after yourself too.

MM - Ooh, Carbonara sounds lovely!

Anyone else who needs a hug, or a kick up the bum, or a cup of tea, please have one on me.

I'm having a silly day today. Need to get galvanised!

Today-

  • breakfast done

TrillianAstra · 01/05/2009 13:56

What is a 'show'? Have heard it mentioned on MN before. Does it mean the baby is thinking about coming?

OP posts:
Comewhinewithme · 01/05/2009 13:59

TA ... hope you are not eating

It is a plug of mucas that seals the opening to the cervix when it comes away it is a sign things could be starting although you can lose it a couple of weeks before .

Tis not pretty .

TrillianAstra · 01/05/2009 14:05

Mmm, mucus.

So it means the baby is either imminent or coming in a couple of weeks or something in between. Helpful

I have done all of these:
wash hair
get dressed
sit outside with my book
get some shopping from Sainsburys

I have also:
washed up
had lunch
texted friend about returning her coat
learned about mucus
wiped round bathroom a bit

What shall I do now?

OP posts:
claireybee · 01/05/2009 14:19

Ooh CWWM, how exciting! I hope we'll get regular updates as things progress

Up, dressed, breakfasted etc - DONE
Load of washing on - DONE
Load of washig on line - DONE
Wipe round bathroom -
Clean loo -
Bake cookies - DONE
Wash up - DONE
Wipe round kitchen - DONE
Lunch - DONE
Dust sitting room - DONE
Hoover - Downstairs DONE
Clean top of fridge
Cooke Dinner - DOING (in slow cooker)
Plan food for dd's party - DONE
Put food into mysupermarket to see how much it will cost -
Do invite for dd's party - DONE
Email sister and parents about stuff for party - DONE
Get excited because wine order has been despatched - DONE

Have also changed 5 pooey nappies and one off the floor Bloody teething, poor boy has a red raw bum with it too (hence the poo on the floor, I thought as he'd already done three it would be safe to give him some nappy off time )

He's just about to go to sleep now so once he stops staring at me I'll do the top of the fridge and the bathroom quickly. Then I'll hopefully have time for a cup of tea before he wakes again.
