Comewhinewithme · 01/05/2009 17:17

No more niggles and I feel normal don't know if I am glad or sad .

Hope everyone is ok .

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 01/05/2009 17:19

Christ I am being spectacularly rubbish today, cannot get myself underway at all and it's gone 5pm!

Looking at all your 'dones' is making me feel bad, I MUST go and do something useful.

FAQinglovely · 01/05/2009 17:28

Ali - I'm the same - I'm not sure it's even worth updating my done list as so little has happened

TrillianAstra · 01/05/2009 17:42

I have done all of these:
wash hair
get dressed
sit outside with my book
get some shopping from Sainsburys

I have also:
washed up
had lunch
texted friend about returning her coat
learned about mucus
wiped round bathroom a bit

And then I:
hoovered
emailed work friend
planned to go meet friend with coat
made self look nice
found a puncture on my bike so couldn't
decided that I am not going to hear about a job today even though I was told 'we'll contact you by the end of next week' last week

So now I:
am waiting for DP to get home so we can walk to the nearby pub as I want a beer (and I can actually pay for one as I got money for letting them scan my brain on Wednesday)

OP posts:
JustKeepSwimming · 01/05/2009 17:50

TA - PMSL at you 'learning about mucus'

CWWM - best if it calms down for a few more days then if you're only 36weeks.

well, eeg went fine, he didn't like it too much but was a good patient

then we got a phone call asking us to go in tomorrow lunchtime to discuss.

stressed out by that but also want to know whatever it is. but also know that once someone says 'DS2 has X' there's no going back

want to wail and scream and shout but am being outwardly calm as PIL here and ds1 to think about too.

TrillianAstra · 01/05/2009 17:53

Poor you JKS, but also once someone says 'Ds2 has X' you will have a plan, and know what to do about it.

OP posts:
MuppetsMuggle · 01/05/2009 17:54

Hey

CWWM - How you feeling this evening? Howz the twinges?

Carbonara went out the window can't walk to well, DP has popped to his mums before he goes to the pub tonight, so I'm round my mums waiting for her and DD to get home and once mums put her to bed (she loves it at nannys lol) mum and I are going to have a girlie night with TV and chinese - Dads on a golf day and night thing!
Well I feel pants today my GP called to check if i was okay bless him - he's quite concerned and wrote me a prescription to collect and made me 2 appointments to see him next week

PlumBumMum · 01/05/2009 17:54

Well I'm off to BnQ as the paint I want is on offer and going to get take away (Bank Holiday weekend yey)

I might buy a euro millions ticket and win 89 million

CWWM dh's cousin had a baby girl this evening 7.3 it must be girl weather

PlumBumMum · 01/05/2009 18:00

sorry x posts JKS

Its tough when your child is sick, and it will hit you in waves anyway, I think I cope really well and then sometimes I think about dd and feel really sad, then I feel bad because I tell myself shes not that bad in comparison to some, but at the end of the day they are our babies and we don't want anything wrong with them or to hurt them but hopefully as you say they give you some answers tomorrow

JustKeepSwimming · 01/05/2009 18:17

You're right - we want our DC to be perfect in every way and having anything wrong with them is unacceptable!

But tomorrow will come and we will find something out (surely we wouldn't get called back to say nothing?) so best just have a large glass later and try to sleep tonight.

(Af still hanging around and have cystitis that isn't responding to cystopurin as normal - more to think about!)

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 01/05/2009 19:43

Oh CWWM, how exciting. Actually I remember how excited I was when I realised that I was in labour with DS. Excited is not how I will be feeling this time as a 2nd time mum...!

Best of luck with it! Sounds like you are really well prepared.

Thankyou HMHB this is baby no6 for me and I am still excited so I am sure you will be even though we know whats going to happen !

Everything stopped baby front going to bed in a minute .

PBM are you still going to post on here if you win the euro's ?
Congratulations on the new member to your family x.

Night everyone

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 01/05/2009 23:53

FAQ - exactly, that is why I had no updates - I hadn't done anything at all!

JKS - I will be thinking of you tomorrow. As TA says, at least once they say 'DS has X' then you can make a plan to deal with it. Much better than a big scary question mark - I think.

Plum - did you win?

CWWM - I bet the baby comes in the night now you've said that

Well I've managed to get my arse into gear to some extent, only through absolute necessity though as we go away for the weekend tomorrow morning and then are back on Monday and a friend is coming to stay Monday night. DS is having terrible teething problems and then got a such a strop when we finally put him to bed. He screamed himself to sleep he was so angry but there was nothing else we could do - feel a bit of a rubbish mummy though.
