Thanks CC I could think of a list a mile long, but it won't get done for a while. esp as DD is only at school half day today because I have no one to pick her up at 3pm. DP is in a meeting and can't get back in time.

TrillianAstra · 29/04/2009 10:00

List for you Muppets:

drink tea/coffee and MN
adjust sofa cushions to be more comfortable
offer someone some advice online (see, you can be useful)
give DD a (gentle) hug when she gets back from school

OP posts:
MuppetsMuggle · 29/04/2009 10:07

Thanks TA

MN has been a godsend this week LOL.
Will have to try and make lunch when DD gets home - that will be interesting

FrankMustard · 29/04/2009 10:27

Morning all!
lol TrillianAstra - yes, squinting at flaky pastry is incredibly enlightening in fact...amazing what comes to me after an eyeful of lard and flour!

Well, the sunshine has returned and it's made me very productive today already, so this is how I'm doing thus far:
breakfast, dress, packed lunch, for everyonedone
school rundone
buy present for friend's dsdone
toddler group maybe - decided against so went for walk instead done
cook ds4 decent lunch as I'm out in evening and it'll save dh having to do it*cheating and going to friend's house for it, so sort of done?
put away ever increasing pile of clean clothes
post thank you letter to auntdone
photocopy stuff for pta meeting
change bedding
phone sister about dates for visiting
do inventory of freezer and replenish low stock levels (sounds impressive, huh?)
tidy round before friends arrive with their small dcs to undo all tidying effortsdone but now we're going to theirs instead so Injust have tidy house. H'rah!

That's the way to keep a tidy house - never be in! It's a revelation I have enjoyed greatly!
Anyone up to anything spectacular today?

This afternoon I'm volunteering for someone's experiment which involves going in an MRI scanner, and I'm not allowed to have anything metal on me. It's really hard. All my bras have underwires (don't know if they are metal or some kind of plastic, but I'm not taking them apart to find out) and alll my trousers have zips. So I'm wearing my running top with a skirt (and feeling guilty because I haven't been running for ages).

Afternoon all

Oh JKS can't believe it happened again, hope he's alright, I was going to post they normally wait for 2 fits before really taking it seriously, hope your alright and you know we're here, but its horrible having to bring your dcs to hospital, I'll be thinking of you ((hug))

Muppets hope your alright what are you on? Any steriods or anything?
My dd is complaing her ankle is sore, but thankfully we are seeing consultant next week anyway, although my heart sinks because she seems to flare up in May and October must ask Doc if theres a reason or just coincedence, she did't need any steroid injections last year so last one was May 2007 but she has been on methotrexate from 2007 so I think that has been keeping her joints calm

Not bothering with a list today as I went out and got my top from Next for the communion, my bf came with me then we popped to Dunelm mill for a couple of cups of coffee, I had £16 voucher for next so my top only cost £4 , but now I'm worried its too big, so waiting for dh to come home and try it on again, although its supposed to be loose fitting so will get away with it and bf is vvvv honest and she thought it was lovely

good luck being a guinea pig this afternoon TA! I had an MRI a couple of years ago - they got me to change into a robe with nowt but briefs on underneath. Was alright but a bit freaky when you wear the headphones (it's a noisy machine) and they then speak to you through the headphones to check you're ok! I opted for radio 4 in case anything worth listening to but they put radio 2 on instead so I had to endure Steve Wright in the afternoooooon....

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 29/04/2009 14:50

I am being such a slattern, have no energy, need to make DCs dinner. Need motivation, have the mince on to fry! Think maybe will set the clock to 15 mins to get stuff done!

TrillianAstra · 29/04/2009 16:12

Back from experiment, managed not to fall asleep in machine. It's like being in the womb of someone working with a pneumatic drill! I didn't get to listen to the radio as I had to do an experiment, naming pictures that they showed me on a screen via a mirror. I did get to keep my clothes on though.

What was your MRI for Frank?

Hope all ill children are feeling better this afternoon.

Plum you could always show us your top if you want opinions...

Ali - hope your ds ok?

Muppets - you're having a tough time, hope new meds or something can be sorted soon?

we are home, no news, no more fits.
referred for an EEG for brain activity. he had an ecg yesterday and we were hoping for the eeg today but they are in no rush.

the doc did seem to be heading more towards epilepsy which has depressed me as i've just watched a sad film about epilepsy (duh, never watch ill children films when you have children!).

but, it could be temp spikes from infections, unlikely though.

going to have to research epilepsy and maybe special monitors for the cot so we can track any fits. he could be fitting all the time he's in bed and we wouldn't know and that makes me v

anyway dones today:

  • freak out session this morning
  • ds1 to pre-sch
  • arrange ds1 cover
  • get pil on the case HereNow
  • come home with ds2 from hosp
  • hang out 1 load of laundry NearlyDry
  • more laundry 2ndLoadIn
[think i will be v behind this week!]

To Do:

  • get boys to bed
  • have takeaway for dinner
  • crash to bed early
