Hmm is it me or has Mumsnet format thing gone wierd. I can only see this page....where is my old list.... panic!

Comewhinewithme · 29/04/2009 18:51

((((Hugs JKS)))) I know it is not the same but dd was on a monitor for a while so I understand how rubbish and worried you must be feeling .

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 29/04/2009 19:03

JKS - I'm glad your PIL are there, are they useful in terms of cooking the dinner and sorting out DS1? Big hugs. I can't imagine how you must feel, but maybe this will help a bit. We have friends whose daughter has epilepsy - she got married a couple of years ago and has just gone in to be induced with her first baby, she works full time as a teacher with SN kids. The medications that are available now are amazing and people can lead incredibly normal lives.

TA - that sounds exciting! I had to have an MRI once, I had a little periscope in there so that I could see my Dad while I was in there which made it less scary.

DS is maybe a bit better, he's had some Calpol and a nap and is now downstairs with DH. Not interested in food though, only milk so it could be a long night for me - I hope my boobs can keep up!

Today
Up, showered and dressed - done
DS up and dressed - done
Breakfast x 3 - done
Dry nappies - done
One other load of washing - done
E-mail holiday details to DB and FIL - DH sorting
DH to phone plumber - next week now when DH is off work
Write letter to Homebase
Organise carpet fitters for next Thursday - done
Pop into Mothercare and Sainsbury's - done
Book internet shop for Monday - done
Check the clothes we need for weekend are clean - done
Iron anything crumpled from above
Dust living room
Lunch for me (and DH?)- done
DS lunch - didn't want any
Drs at 3:10pm - done
Make dinner (need to decide)- cod and cheese pasta bake, have started. Hmm, maybe takeaway instead?
Dinner x 3
DS bath and bed
Clear up from dinner
Tidy round before bed

JustKeepSwimming · 29/04/2009 19:27

thanks and thanks.
Ali - it does help so thankyou.
at the mo it feels like something terrible and unmanageable. and like he's not my 'perfect' little boy anymore

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 29/04/2009 20:06

Finally got it working so can see the thread properly and see whats been going on.

Hope you are OK JKS. So sorry to hear about your DS. Bless him. Sounds so scary. Hope it all gets sorted out soon.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 29/04/2009 20:16

Forgot to say Muppets - hope you are feeling better

Right. List.

ToDo

Mop floor where DS spilt juice done
Make tea done
Tidy kitchen
Dishy on
Washing in
Get nursery bag ready for tomorrow

Potty training update...
DS goes for wees all the time on the loo but not poos. Then DS did a (small) poo in the toilet yesterday - for a chocolate egg bribe. Although I think he may have confused everyone at nursery by saying 'Can I have a chocolate egg' when he actually wants a poo.

TrillianAstra · 29/04/2009 20:25

What takeaway did you have?

OP posts:
MuppetsMuggle · 29/04/2009 21:44

JKS - Hope you have some results on DS soon, monitor sounds like a good idea.

TA - How was your MRI? Did you do well in knowing what the pics were?

Well i've been down the hospital again today different meds stronger ones now. spoke to Rheumatologist today, who said bloods came back fine a little low but not to much to worry about. MRI results not fully through yet but from what he has can't see any disc lesions or anything wrong there, however believes its something spinal so being referred to that dept now. Have appointment with GP in morning to discuss further, and go from there.

soo tired, and soo thankful for DP don't know what i would do without him.

FrankMustard · 29/04/2009 22:00

Evening all.
Hope your ds ok Ali

TA - MRI was because I fell on my arm and they couldn't work out what was wrong with it as it was causing me so many problems and I'd had various other investigations - x-ray, that scan thing where they inject you with radioactivity to see where it pools etc.
Worst thing was that until I got out of the machine, I'd no idea that the guy could see me through a screen into the room, so could see the soles of my feet and....oh it doesn't bear thinking about what other weird view he might have had!

breakfast, dress, packed lunch, for everyone done

buy present for friend's dsdone

cook ds4 decent lunch as I'm out in evening and it'll save dh having to do itdone - ended up going out to friend's house

sort box in bedroom and chuck everything not essential
long soak in the bath

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 29/04/2009 22:26

Night everyone. DS is a lot better, he had a bit of dinner and he's been asleep for a couple of hours.

JKS Try and get some sleep tonight. Are there threads on here where you could get some info from other parents?

MM - I hope they can give you some answers soon.

TA - did you do the Nigella recipe with the gnocchi? Yum.

Can't be bothered to update my list, will add a new one tomorrow. Hope everyone sleeps well.

Hope the weather cheers up for you ladies..

alicecrail · 30/04/2009 08:33

Good morning slatterns
I am very for you all that are poorly or have poorly dc. Fingers crossed for all of you

Have been a right slattern lately, my whole routine (if you can call it that ) has been thrown a bit recently with the horses staying out in the field and more time at home. I have so many good intentions but the reality of doing it all with my little 'helper' is of course a lot more difficult. Will be easier once we have a stairgate upstairs i suppose.

I'm going to give myself 'mini' lists for a few days if thats ok and i won't get chucked off if i finish them? Is that allowed?

Tidy hallway and sweep
Chuck newspapers in recycling
Clean bathroom

I may add to it later (it really is mini!)

JustKeepSwimming · 30/04/2009 08:35

Well done SGloop - the threat of the Slatterns kicking you was enough, lol

Well, Ds2 fine, just gone for nap, no more fits (that we know of) and all trying to calm down.

So will try and re-enter normality with a list!

Today:

  • ds1 to pre-school
  • DH to work
  • tackle laundry mountain
  • make 'birth' cards for 2 friends who've had baby girls recently

  • collect ds1
  • lunch
  • afternoon plan/activity
  • ds2 nap
  • boys tea
  • boys to bed
  • our dinner
  • bed early-ish again

Ongoing:

  • will find and try to tackle at some point...

alicecrail · 30/04/2009 09:16

TA what would happen with scan if you did have metal? I have a metal bar and pins holding my leg together. Was something i always wonder about That and airport thingies!

alicecrail · 30/04/2009 09:17

Oh dear, i really sounded like a Fenlander there didn't i?

MuppetsMuggle · 30/04/2009 09:18

Well done for posting books

Morning everyone.

Hope we are enjoying the weather today.
Well I don't feel to bad at the moment, but lets see how the day goes.

I've done one thing that really needed doing on my mile long list - online food shop LOL, ready for delivery tomorrow when DP is working from home
the rest of the list will have to wait, anyone want to come and do my housework?

TrillianAstra · 30/04/2009 09:24

I like to think either:
the machine would blow up
or
the metal would get ripped out of your body and fly towards the magnetic part of the machine

but it's probably something much less dramatic!

The task was really easy, they showed me pictures of things like a clock or a doll or a motorbike and I had to name them in one word, and I think they looked what what parts of my brain lit up when recognising the objects.

OP posts:
MuppetsMuggle · 30/04/2009 09:33

TA - That sounds cool!

alicecrail · 30/04/2009 10:00

Wow! Now have image of my bionic leg flying to pieces and attacking people while i laugh manically hahaha
