Dh is home after being at doc, he has pulled calf muscles so he is laid up for next two days.! Only hope he gets his wages before tomorrow night as we have his sisters 21st tomorrow night!

claireybee · 24/04/2009 13:48

(It's also quite nice being able to come on a thread and say that you've done the hoovering/washing up without feeling like you are talking drivel)

FAQinglovely · 24/04/2009 14:29

oooooo I'm on a roll - done my ironing - including all the stuff I washed and dried earlier today.

Decided to put one of the extra loads in - and that's now hanging out to dry - it's quite breezy and hot out there so should be dried by the time I get back from the school run.

Might even put the last load in the machine as soon as the boys get home - as they can get changed and bung their uniform in with it so I'll have conquered the washing

MuppetsMuggle · 24/04/2009 14:30

I have a pile of ironing, anyone want to do it?

Thanks everyone about tonight- really not in the mood, but i've been summoned to be there and will feel i'm letting the side down if I don't attend, and I know it'll be unfair on DP if I don't go as he's been really sweet with me being in pain etc and would be the only one without his partner there.

Hi everyone
Ali glad your getting sorted
MM hope you get sorted
Ignoring everyone else with lots of dones

Had a busy day today, dd1 had eye appointment but the big boss was called to emergency surgery so that left us with the same drops for another 6 weeks, the registrars aren't allowed to change her medication, as she normally just sees the boss, but I know myself he would have upped it as he wants her eyes completely settled for surgery in the summer but hey ho
I just count that as another appt off the list next one with arthritis doc in 2 weeks

Got twins birthday presents
got engagement card
got little praying girl to accompany the castle for dd1s cake (I know you offered CC but this one is a wee keepsake one)
Went a few messages for dh

looked for a top, seen one in Next for £20 and I have vouchers left for there so that will be good as the budget for this month is rapidly dwindling but MIL has seen a dress in Primark too so will have to see what it is like, she always gets lovely stuff there and I never see anything but I'm not mad keen on clothes shopping anyway

Had a strange conversation with my aunt (will fill you all in when I know for definite but I think my mum is planning on just going to dd1s mass and not the party after )

cikecaka · 24/04/2009 17:41

No prob PBM, not offended, will keep my one for when DD3 makes hers

ooooo yea - how did I miss the mention of Braii ! - you got some Boerwoers to chuck on there??

JustKeepSwimming · 24/04/2009 20:11

None of that for me sorry, but will have everything else!

back in front of the tv surfing, yeyeyeyey!!!

the H and M are dodgy so apologies in advance for any dodgy typing!!

claireybee · 24/04/2009 20:45

DH is from Botswana. I lived out there for 18 months and somehow always think of bbqs as braais now (didn't even realise I'd typed it til you said!).

Butchers in town does boerwoers but the skin is so thick and chewy it's horrible.
