Ali - yes, was brokedn into on Monday night, just after i'd gone to bed, heard a noise, came downstairs and they had legged it before i got down, with my 2 laptops - an old (worthless, ha!) one and almost brand new one (Macbook Air)

have been dealing with the fallout since. the whole passwords in other websites in a huge job, i'm mostly hoping that the burglars are too thick to work any of that stuff out or the passwords aren't auomatically filled in on any of the ones that are left.

I changed my email password about 2.5rs after my laptop was taken so hoping they didn't have time to get any info from there.

all a worry

anyway, today:

  • me up first DONE
  • all up, breakfasted & dressed
  • ds2 nap
  • DH out with ds1/in the garden
  • get picnic stuff ready (remember sun cream & hats)
  • wake ds2
  • all go to the beach for a picnic lunch
  • home for ds2 nap
  • tackle some ongoing jobs
  • tidy toys
  • friend's family tree
  • tea (bbq if still nice?)
  • bath boys (DH promised he'd get in with ds1 tonight)
  • boys to bed
  • chill & bed (not sleeping well atm so need some early nights)

Ongoing:

  • get to 8stone 7lbs (back down to 8,11!)
  • look up family tree stuff on 1911 census
  • think about sorting out DH's photos
  • contact handyman
  • get photos of family for new frames & hang them up

wastingmyeducation · 25/04/2009 07:24

My Mum has moved to South Africa and is always talking about braais. V.

I got everything done yesterday apart from mopping the floor, like usual.

I'd never thought about passwords in websites JKS, what's your plan from now on? Delete cookies etc.?

Today:-

  • Breakfast, clear up
  • Dry pots
  • Fold dry washing
  • DS changed and dressed
  • Me showered and dressed
  • Mop floor!
  • DS nap
  • DS snack
  • Lunch, clear up
  • Walk
  • DS snack
  • Dinner
  • DS bath and bed
  • Clear kitchen, wash pots
  • Knitting

That's the basics, I'll fill in anything else as I go along today. Lots of playing today I think.

JustKeepSwimming · 25/04/2009 07:41

WME - i don't think i'll do much different tbh. the police were very much of the opinion that the burglars would only flog the laptops down the pub without even opening them, and that the people buying them won't be interested in trying to extract info off them, prob just try to sell them on for more ££.
they said it's quite common for them not to manage to sell them so they keep them at home, sort of stockpiling them, then if they get caught for something else and their house is searched, all the unsold stuff is found.
so they wanted to know what picture came up when you turned it on (my old one is a photo of my cats! and my new one is a zebra photo).

would love to get them both back as they are mine but not expecting anything.

JustKeepSwimming · 25/04/2009 08:48

And meant to add - most sites that i've checked, they would still need to enter a password to get anywhere near credit card details.
those that 'remember' the password are not financial ones, but things like FB & MN, which could be embarassing but not financially painful
(have changed them both just in case though!)

today:

  • me up first DONE
  • all up DONE, breakfast DONE & dressed
  • ds2 nap doing
  • official RSVP for brother's wedding DONE
  • DH out with ds1/in the garden
  • get picnic stuff ready (remember sun cream & hats) - not looking so sunny today, blast
  • wake ds2
  • all go to the beach for a picnic lunch
  • home for ds2 nap
  • tackle some ongoing jobs
  • tidy toys
  • friend's family tree
  • tea (bbq if still nice?)
  • bath boys (DH promised he'd get in with ds1 tonight)
  • boys to bed
  • chill & bed (not sleeping well atm so need some early nights)

That's good JKS. I suppose it's lost info that's the main problem. We've been meaning to buy an external hard drive to keep a copy of everything on. My Dad's kept all his family history and website stuff backed up for years on zipdisks.

CWWM - I'll remember not to rent that one out then! Cute baby clothes v. good.

morning everyone - I just woke up!

Was hoping to pop into town this morning and be back by 11ish.............ermm don't think that is going to happen now especially as one of the main things I wanted to do was put some bags of coins into my account - think by the time I get sortd and get to town the banks will be shut

Will make a (sort of) list in a minute

Flamesparrow · 25/04/2009 10:45

PBM. Yes. That will happen. You will not have a pile of clothes on the floor next to the bed in the morning

Going for the over caffeinating method to attempt to kick myself into action today. AND has hit hard over the last few days, and I am now at the angry stage with it.

Not too sure what too much caffeine does to babies

Hi JKS I used to use asda and they were always on time but I prefer the tesco stuff .
I don't mind TBH as it is only really on a Saturday they are late and they always send me a money off code .

I have decided that weekends are for slobbing the housework can wait until the week and I am just going to do the bare minimum at weekends now I have enjoyed been slobby today. Have been having braxton hicks all day and I can't bend at all without it hurting .

Sorry you had to cancel the picnic jks freezing and rainy here today.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 25/04/2009 20:29

Hi ladies, sorry haven't been on for a couple of days.

We had some bad news. One of my friends went for her 12 week scan and there was something wrong, the baby wasn't moving and she had to go to hospital for the baby to be taken out last night. It has been a bit of a shock for DH and I as we have been going through the pg thing together with only a few weeks difference in pregnancy.

I haven't spoken to her directly but her DH and DS came round today so her DS could play with ours and we sent her flowers and magazines etc. to her. They have family here for support. I'm thinking she probably won't want to talk to me at the moment as I am pg but she is such a lovely person she will probably be in contact soon. Although must be awful for her. This is her 2nd MC at 12 or so weeks.

So bit of a wierd time here. Jobs are getting done as usual but not had time to write lists and stuff. Did manage to get DS some shoes today - which is always a major task.

DH demanding cup of tea and its my turn...

alicecrail · 25/04/2009 21:58

Hello everyone
