Just right cikecaka I will admit we are going to McD's tonight although dd1 does not like so dh was trying to convince she did thats really bad when your trying to convince her to eat a McD's
She dosen't like icecream all of a sudden either, dh who loves Mauds is just baffled

cikecaka · 27/03/2009 16:01

Went as far as making up some curry sauce to make it look more exciting. All eating away quite happily

TrillianAstra · 27/03/2009 16:14

The plus side of not getting the job is that I'll get to stay on the Slatterns thread for longer - once I'm working I'll have to just get on and do things instead of MNing about doing housework.

Your DD sounds a bit mad Plum, who doesn't like ice cream? Can I have her share.

cikecaka curry sauce sounds yum too. I'm not hungry really but all this talk of food...

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 27/03/2009 16:28

Done
-DS breakfasted and dressed

ToDo
-Get off mumsnet and get dressed! done

  • Finish accounts done whoooo hoooo

Paperwork took longer than I thought. DH and DS home any min which should put pay to the above list although will try to get DH to put rubbish out obv.

TrillianAstra · 27/03/2009 16:40

"will try to get DH to put rubbish out obv."

Obv.

Bins = man's job. In my house jobs are divided into man jobs and jobs that anyone can do (although quite a few of them I can do better ).

Actually bins have to be a man's job because we live in a block of flats and sometimes people put their stuff in our bin. Then I get rage. DP gets annoyed too but doesn't seem in imminent danger of having his head explode, so it's safer for him to do the bins.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 27/03/2009 16:53

Trillian possibly the compost bin + recycling fit neatly into this category.

Have just finished making choc crispy buns and am feeling anxious that though they do seem to be the easiest thing in the world to make they don't 'look right'. Maybe Im a perfectionist, maybe once they've been in the fridge a bit longer they'll be ok. If anyones interested they look a bit 'dry' although did follow Good Housekeeping recipe to the letter.

DS and DH still not home so will now tidy up carnage just made in kitchen...

TrillianAstra · 27/03/2009 16:55

If choc crispy buns are what I think they are you don't want them too wet, othwerwise when the chocolate solidifies it'll be too solid to bite into.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 27/03/2009 16:57

FAQinglovely · 28/03/2009 09:47

well I woke up at 9am so I'm afraid I did.

But then I woke up and thought what are the boys doing they're awfully quiet. Took me a few minutes to realise that they're with DH this weekend. It's been ages (well feels like it anyhow) since they last stayed at his, as the last 2 weekends he "had" them he stayed here and looked after them as he was mid-moving. So last time they stayed away over night was the weekend of Valentines day - and I stayed over at his on that Saturday night so it's been ages and felt weird.

OP posts:
JustKeepSwimming · 28/03/2009 09:49

x lots then!
