Alice - was going to ask where you were, then looked at your profile - lived/taught near Cambridge for a bit.
lots of lovely horses
used to ride lots as a child/teen myself but never owned my own horse.
saw you post on a weight loss thread - surely not 3stone to lose though?
I've been on a few w.l. threads but found they kept going quiet - hope yours is good.

still not doing lists really but...

DONE:

• up first with ds1 (6.30)
• breakfast, dressed, etc.
• ds2 naps x 2
• garden with ds1
• lunch
• more garden time/moving loads of crap in parents garden to the gate ready for tip tomorrow/clearing bushes & leaves, etc./setting up 'shed' for brother to sleep in/sanding garden furniture for repainting....
• boys tea
• boys to bed
• our dinner
• wine drinking

NOT DONE:

• get splinter out of ds1's hand
• go to bed

best go, will be knackered & hungover tomorrow, lol!

FAQ hope church was good.
Had a better today as convinced DH to take DS to farm for a couple of hours and of that time DD slept for oh, a whole forty minutes. So a few more dones on the list.

It's clearly working as I felt i had to get a lot done in order to not be so rubbish.

JKS you sound like you're having a lovely time. Regarding the weightloss, i have got between 7 and 10 lbs to lose, not a great amount, but being short it is quite noticable(sp?) and it is all around my middle so unhealthy too. I joined that wl thread because they all seemed quite laid back and friendly. Fingers crossed it works

Hi all, gorgeous weather here. Have resorted to eating a bag of mini eggs due to stress of potty training, mainly due to disagreement about the rules with DH

have been a lurker on here for a few days but haven't posted yet! wondered if you'd mind another self confessed slattern making lists with you all! I don't seem to have much insentive to do the things i should sometimes!!!
At different times of the month i get strange bursts of energy and am inspired to clean but other times i look at the mess and think... never mind!!

Welcome LADM .
I started using this thread at xmas and it has made a real diffrence to me .

I keep on top of things now and have got lots of support from the other slatterns on here .

I think it helps knowing other people feel the same and coing back to tick things off and having a nosy at the other slatterns lists helps a lot.

Thank you all loads of people having been telling me about this cold thats hard to shift, so my mum came today with honey, strepsils and paracodal, so I'm going to nmake myself hot OJ and honey tonight

Anyway I wrapped up and went out and painted my gates and some of the fence, it was starting to get cold and needed to get dinner on
The cheesecake is in the fridge, it tasted yummy, we were fightintg over who gets to lick the spoon
Will make pavlova later and leave to cool in oven overnight
dcs made nice easter place settings for dinner tomorrow at MIL

HMHB We had a sticker chart and dd got a sticker everytime she went in the potty, a bigger sticker for poo's and a big one for being dry allnight

Okay, i am going to chicken out a bit and write a list of things that are quite achievable tonight. Can i cheat and add something i've done so i've got my first done or is that cheating?

go to bed

The in laws are coming for lunch so I need to:

• hoover downstairs,
• dress all children nicely
• make a vegetarian roast dinner
• make a non vegatarian roast dinner
• bake vegan choc cake
• find dining table under piles of clean washing
• shower and dress myself
• Make up spare bed for nephew coming to stay
• Meal plan for the week.

Am off to drink tea first though...

HMHB - I had two days of potty training my DS. It caused me to eat a whole easter egg so I gave up in the interests of my waistline.
The boy is obviously not ready and neither am I.
