Anyone got a professional oven cleaner in and NOT been impressed?

So, those professional oven cleaner people - like ovenu and so on. Are they really worth the money? I have been pondering getting one in - just moved house and the oven needs some attention. It's not too horrendous - I mean, it's basically clean, but it's discoloured with baked-on stuff and looks like it's had a long time of only being cleaned superficially.

I can't face the idea of doing it myself, too pregnant and too tired. DH says "oh I'll do it", but I know he won't. He'll intend to, but he won't. But at the same time, I can't help but think it's silly to pay someone else to do it when we really should be able to do it ourselves. I suppose I'm just wondering if the results would be much better than we'd get ourselves?

Mine was the best £40 I ever spent.

But I had to admire the style of a colleague's sister - when her oven was very dirty and she CBA to clean it, she just bought a new one,

@Firepixie777 - what is it called or what is its chemical composition?

OVEN CLEANING..We use a fabulous oven cleaning company called Crystal Oven Cleaning they cover Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire.
They clean our oven every 6 months and it looks like new. They are a family company and are very polite, reliable and reasonable. Many of our friends use them now too. 01832 730 404. Good Luck.
