thread 9 is full, and I can’t find a new thread. Can anyone point me to thread 10?

Hope it helps you Ellie. Hoarder's heart has taken her home from badly hoarded to normal. She talks about the psychology of it too. If that's helpful I suggest going back to the start and watching all the videos. Space maker is a professional decluttered and has playlists of all the homes she's visited to declutter and reorganize, so you can watch each person's journey in order.

All gone -

One box
Two DVD's
Two letters
Two leaflets

managed to persuade DS to part with an enormous piece of artwork he did a year ago. Very satisfying!

Day 140 declutter - a haircare set which I won't use, given away on local fb page

I also binned a big pile of DC certificates, art work, school papers etc. I think I'm pretty unsentimental about those. My mum kept so much and I barely looked at it. I did put away 2 pictures, one that was really well done and one that said "I love mummy". But they seem to get certificates of something from school weekly and it's just a bit meaningless now

ememem84 · 20/05/2025 12:36

a facial cleanser used up and binned and also the radiotherapy after care gel they've me to help with the sunburn type rash.

ememem84 · 20/05/2025 16:32

JK3 · 21/05/2025 14:01

Sold and posted 2 items on Vinted

Sorted out dd underwear pjs today. Some in a bag ready to go but not counted yet. Also getting ds13 to try on at least 5 items a day to see if we can get rid of enough to make his draws less packed.

I'm now clearing the table. We do eat in the kitchen dinner but the table we could also eat on in the living room is just a dumping ground of tat.

Need to up my game as eldest ds gf is booked to stay with us for a month so I need to get everything presentable by July. Terrified but also this should be a good motivator.

I'm just going from one of the bad areas to another tidying and sorting. Then I will go back next week to each and be ruthless knowing it's clean and tidier. Then just before ds gf arrives I'm booking a cleaner. Been too ashamed to have a cleaner before

Back in office today.

went through my old desk drawers. Decluttered a load of stuff probably a small bag full.

found a pack of cup a soup. Not sure if it expires because it’s mostly salt. Binned anyway.

After almost 3 weeks with no sales, I have just sold and posted my 50th Vinted item 🍾

I started at the end of January and it's been pretty straightforward so far. Over £360 so far, which isn't a huge amount but I do have the time to do it so it's worth it for me.

ememem84 · 21/05/2025 18:25

L’Oréal dream lengths shampoo and conditioner gone. Used it up on dd after swimming.

CherryRipe1 · 22/05/2025 04:39

Found some out of the Ark nit lotions, homeopathic pills and mozzie repellent in the medine cabinet of doom. Don't know if these can be binned or if the pharmacy can get rid of them. Will ask when next in there.

It’s a fantastic platform if you have the time. Congrats!

Binned what felt like a stone of very hard roll out icing in a rainbow of colours I’d made last year. Started making DGC birthday cupcakes and got right into my cake decorating cupboard and decide to oust a lot of it. Sometimes if it’s in date I grate it and it can be revived but this lot was too far gone.

had a fun evening making sugar cars to go on top of his cup cakes he’s asked for instead of a birthday cake this year.

I'd appreciate some help with this. I retired in July last year. I have 40ish blouses/ shirts that I wore for work. I have worn only 4 items (more casual and plain, not patterned) from that part of the wardrobe in the last 10 months. I still like these shirts but really see them as work shirts and I don't see when I'm going to wear them. I've given 2 away and already got rid of some but still left with a huge number.
Shall I demote them for a year and see if I miss them or just go for it and donate?

I've got rid of a load of smart jackets, especially now that I go to the gym a lot and my shoulders are too big to fit some of them.

I think I got to 400ish items in a previous thread and lost track. Still getting rid of stuff to charity regularly but sadly I didn't count.

Pigtailsandall · 23/05/2025 10:04

^ I think if you haven't worn them so far, you won't. Keep a few, 3 or 4, of the most versatile ones for nice days out and get rid of the rest. Realistically, you won't choose them if they remind you of work.

I haven't posted but I have decluttered daily. Day 141 was a bunch of very solidified wood oils with dregs left in each. I did get out enough to varnish our outdoor table but rest went in the bin.
Day 142 was a full-up kids activity book. It was very cute but there was nothing else to do there
Day 143 (today) was a face mask I went to use and it just had a tiny pump left. I have way too many masks, so that's good - but it was also my favourite.

Trying to use up some hotel toiletries next which DH keeps insisting on bringing home from trips!!!

All my work stuff went in a wardrobe in the spare room never to be worn again. Came out two years ago and put in a bag to sell on fb. Never sold. Still in bag. Packed up work in 2010. Must go find it and add to the charity pile.

JK3 · 23/05/2025 22:15

sold 2 clothing bundles and a largeish toy on Vinted.

Hi everyone sounds like lots og good work going on. Various issues meant decluttering has taken a backseat for me. Today I dropped a bag at the charity shop with an older hair styler, some outgrown kids clothes, some gym gear I no longer use.

IndianSummer78 · 24/05/2025 00:12

Put a top, a hoodie and some joggers into the donation bag today. Nothing wrong with them just they're not my favourites and they wouldn't fit into the drawer. First time I've really been this ruthless. Resisting the urge to get them back out!

Day 144 declutter is number of clay statues/blobs that dc made. They've been in the drawer for a year and finally forgotten
