2x dresses
2x tops
2x trousers
1x belt

Total is 3232

CheesePlantFeet · 17/02/2025 18:26

Bin: tatty vest top, broken coat hanger, 20x old nail varnishes

Sold: top, shoes

Total: 216

Stuffocation · 17/02/2025 22:19

Another Vinted item sold, 5 in total that's £35! Went into work today to cover sickness (am a nurse working long shifts) so my decluttering plans for today abandoned. Got home from work and house is a tip again. I really struggle to keep up, don't even get much deep cleaning done, never mind decluttering so feeling a bit fed up this evening.

Pigtailsandall · 18/02/2025 08:14

Day 49 - a vest top.
This was an odd one as it's good quality and comfy, amd I wear it a lot, BUT it's very unflattering on me. I thought I'd get rid of it so I won't default to it

W/E 16/02
2025 – (237 + 45 = 282) = 1743 to go

Digital
Phone contacts G, H
Gmail folders G, H, I = 5

Stuff
DH jeans x 3 (one used to make new elbow patches for his favourite work shirt), a hairspray, a face mask, a cleanser, a moisturiser (I don't like any of them), socks x 4, out of date spices x 12, scented candles x 2 used up, broken fairy lights, more battery tealights x 14 = 40

Vinted
No sales this week, must list some more items and consider spotlight.

Charity shop
Nothing this week, gathering stuff in study again.

JK3 · 18/02/2025 12:18

Half term is the best time to declutter excess cash!

Day 50 declutter - some odd socks

Got rid of 20 DVDs.

total = 306

stealthninjamum · 19/02/2025 18:05

I’m sitting on my bed next to a six inch high pile of books and papers that have come from dd1’s room. They will either be shredded, recycled or taken to a charity shop.

CheesePlantFeet · 19/02/2025 21:25

Listed a bunch on vinted and a bit on a local FB group. Tried to get DD to go through her stuff but she wasn't up for it. She did tidy her room, so beggars can't be choosers.

Sold: 2x tops, coat, cardigan, plant
Charity: jumper, gilet

Total: 223

Pigtailsandall · 20/02/2025 19:17

Day 50 declutter - a camera bag.

I also went through a pile of old Christmas cards and birthday cards from my childhood and binned a load. If I was counting all the bits like last year I'd definitely be several hundred up.

3 things from my wardrobe I have passed on. Keeping the unused items down really helps me - I’ve got plenty of space and putting away clothes is easier.

Realfastfoodie · 20/02/2025 20:05

2025 total - 313

JK3 · 20/02/2025 21:14

7 items sold on Vinted

Total this year = 313

EllieQ · 21/02/2025 12:18

Days 17-21 of Feb decluttering: no new decluttering, but the second item that I had listed on Vinted has sold, and I’ve posted both of them off, using up two more padded envelopes from my stash.

JK3 · 21/02/2025 17:51

Gave away 2 colouring books and 2 sticker books

total outs for 2025 = 317

Mymanyellow · 21/02/2025 18:29

Pair of pjs bottom elastic has gone
Another pj top whose bottoms have disappeared
Scruffy old vest too (shame I liked it)
4 odd socks

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/02/2025 20:35

When this thread started there was the Clean-Along-A-Christmas and the All-I-Want threads and they were both inspiring Xmas Grin
I have been steadily tidying and decluttering .
I put two pairs of sandles in the bin last week , they were pretty past it . I did think "Oh I;ll wear them in the garden" but I don't .
I probably need a new pair this year ( I;ve got a black pair and an olive green ) maybe something brighter ?

I have a pair of shoes to go out
And within the next couple of weeks I need to get out my summer clothes ( holiday in April) , don;t need them yet but I need to know what I have .

I did have loads of different laundry detergents , but I've whittled it down to one powder /one liquid/an EcoEgg .
I bought capsuals for DS and DD when I was away so they didn;t do the more is more half a mugful of powder .
But they can use the EcoEgg or I have some laundry sheets (for me when I;m away)
I;m not going to be swayed by anything else .

CheesePlantFeet · 22/02/2025 07:27

I went through my wardrobe yesterday and took out a pile of clothes I don't wear and listed them on vinted. Not counting them until they sell or end up for the charity shop

Sold: 2x jumpers, 2x skirts, shirt, blazer
Bin: Odd sock

Total 230

Pigtailsandall · 22/02/2025 10:44

Days 52 and 53 declutters - pair of gloves both days. Had lots of cheap and not very warm gloves which I don't wear as I have actual nice gloves too!

Another bag of papers is being recycled / shredded. I also found a school bag of dd2s that had school books that I’m keeping but bits of art and a planner that she didn’t want.

i had tried to donate my old iPad to a local charity but they don’t want it so it’s going in my electric / wire recycling bag. Dd1 has added a broken phone charger to that too.

Mistralli · 22/02/2025 15:20

Eurgh. Visited my sister last weekend, and she asked if I'd take back the newborn baby clothes I'd passed on to her. No problem with that, lots of it was nice Next and Jojo stuff we were gifted, and I've got a friend expecting a little girl who might be happy to take it.

Except she gave me a huge bag back of stuff. I didn't give her 75% of it, and now I've got to deal with it! Most of it isn't even nice, but I'm wondering if that us coloured by how criss I am at her passing on her crap to me to deal with for her.

Trying to consider sorting it all out as doing her a favour, but ffs. She's on maternity leave! I work full time and have a toddler dropping naps...

So my decluttering advice of the week. Stay away from relatives who will dump things on you!!!!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/02/2025 23:36

My DMum is a hoarder and finds it really hard to throw things out , the house was always untidy growing up .
We did massively de -clutter over time but it is tough
Unfortunately my DS is showing similar traits , I don;t know if it is hoarding or just he CBA sorting things .
I do cull his wardrobe often getting rid of things after they've been through the wash if I notice they;re past it .

If there's something I take out of his wardrobe he's "No, I wear that all the time "
I reply Young Man, I do the washing and this has not been in the laundry for months and make him recycle it .
He tried on shoes and said they felt "a bit tight" but insisted on keeping them. Head/Desk . (They will go , he won;t notice )
My mum had the excuse that she was a child during rationing but it was a nightmare with her hiding things ,

HellonHeels · 23/02/2025 10:20

Back after a break post-Ofsted. Did a lot of garden decluttering because I got a garden shredder, highly recommended.

Cleared out more work papers
Broken pen
broken vacuum attachment
bag of worn out clothes to textiles bin

Total: 180+4 = 184

Pigtailsandall · 23/02/2025 14:47
