hello, i'm here looking for recommendations on how i can make my laundry smell so good for days onwards, kind of like when someone walks past you and you can smell their fresh laundry , As of now i'm using the fairy pods along with the matching comforter and scented boosters, and dont get me wrong it smells amazingg , and i love it the only problem i find is the dry down. When my clothes dry down its either the smell is non existent or just faint and i want that scent to linger, any tips on what brands i should use or what i should do to make it smell strong for days on wards ?

if OP wants her laundry to smell nice after laundering them then why shouldn’t she? Nothing “wrong” with us all.

If you don’t want any scent from your laundry then that’s fine too.

Do you also object to people wearing perfume?

Yes, if it smells strong. Most people wear perfume discreetly, but others almost drown themselves in it, and it's horrible. In fact it's almost as though they are trying to mask the smell of something else.

OK, this is what I do. No conditioner ever, I just use a tablespoon (spare one in the box for this) of ordinary Tesco cheapo powder and add a few drops of Linen Fresh zoflora to the powder in the drawer. Lovely result, aaaah.

@ElderlyPerson , OP gives the impression of wanting to make her laundry smell so strong

I agree.

There is a woman at my church who always wears a perfume. It is quite strong smelling but not totally overpowering. She is elderly so perhaps her sense of smell is not so good and it doesn't smell strong to her.

I have to make sure I sit on the opposite side of church to her as if I sit near her, the scent gives me an asthma attack.

It isn't so problematic in a large space like a church as I can make sure I stay a distance away but it would be awful on a bus or other crowded enclosed space.

My asthma is pretty mild and usually isn't a problem. It is just certain scents that trigger it.

I know what you mean. I use the same stuff as you, I want there to be fairy tumble dryer sheets

How many people on here with the big chemical negativity are quite happy spraying deodorant and perfume all over themselves before going out, I wonder.

Nope. Antiperspirant from brands that are phthalate free, no synthetic fragrances.

Anyone who's had fertility problems and read It Starts with the Egg would think similarly.

The best way I've found is absolutely zero fabric softener or boosters - just a cupful of standard Ariel liquid (the green one) straight into the drum, it makes our clothes smell lovely but not chemically. I only found this out after I'd run out of my scent boosters etc! Even days later when I open my wardrobe it smells lovely.

I use a Salt of the Earth deodorant. I don't wear perfume - I can't stand it on me, and don't like it on other people.
