I do seem to get more done if I set a timer.

Just spent the last 1/2 hour playing iwth dd1 and the playmobile. I will mke her come on the school run later to get dd2 (she doesn' sem to be tha ill)so dd2 can go to the book fair.

I'll go and check my cupboard for out of date stuff now too....

I'm old enough to remember that program ruby....but I don't!

Ludaloo · 14/03/2008 12:21

Awww Bianca It must feel and look different at the mo, but as you get used to them they'll look nice I am sure

Ok I have done under the sink...wasn't that Monday's mission!
I have also done the tin cupboard....nothing out of date in there

Ludaloo · 14/03/2008 12:23

I remember Dad's Army...."Who do you think you are kidding Mr Hitler, If you think we're on the run" Tra La La!

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 14/03/2008 12:35

Could your DH suggest they pick a different time, now or well after school has finished, ludaloo?

bb99 · 14/03/2008 12:57

Afternoon ladies.

I have bunked off this am - blood test for dc1 and after school drop off bumped into neighbour for a coffee...

So now am off to:

Clean bathroom sink big tick
Do first dishwasher turn around big tick
Declutter part of kitchen
Unload and restack dishwasher
Sort and move washing
Launder nappies
Sort out recycling and toy with idea of dropping it off at the dump
Drop off old and broken baby bath at dump
Wash baby wraps

TMI possibly, but I like ticking jobs off, so putting it all under the heading of laundry seems such a waste.

Oh and did manage to get dressed in time for the docs this am!

Ludaloo · 14/03/2008 13:15

NAB I think the police down there have been told about school finishing, another mum has just phoned me for an update (she saw my dh stood outside the garage with several police people)
I shall have a good nose on my way past later!

(I'm glad she phoned...I was beginning to think DH was having me on! He is very prone to making up tales...and I am very gullable!)

When we first met he convinced me his name was Cookie....and that his mum liked cookies soooo much she named her child after one. I belived him and spent at least 2 weeks asking his mum/dad if "Cookie" was there every time I phoned to speak to him!
(hey, I know... I'm very gullible...but all his mates called him Cookie too!....found out that was obviously his nickname )

And then there was the time he convinced me he had "Air Eye Shock Syndrome" .... Had been looking through a letter box Told me it was very common in burglars
I, of course fell for it
2 days later he confessed to having sand in his eye from work!

Well I have done lots of decluttering! All the kitchen cupboards are tidy and clean, and the cupboard under the satirs is looking great....lets hope it stays that way

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 14/03/2008 13:25

Well, I convinced my then boyfriend I had a duck swimming around in my bath as I had seen him at the petshop and couldn't leave him there. He said he believed me as it was the sort of thing I would do. It is 12 years later and he is now my DH and we have a laugh about it occasionally.

Bewilderbeast · 14/03/2008 13:29

luda your bomb is on the bbc news website.

BiancaCastafiore · 14/03/2008 13:30

lol Luda and Nab

Well, I have remade a bed and done a bit of potternig around and wallowing feeling sorry for myself. Everyone else seems to be having good productive days.

The teeth are really not quite right Luda I'm going to live with them for a week and see how I get on though before I complain....

I'd better plough on, time is rushing by all of a sudden!

BiancaCastafiore · 14/03/2008 13:32

Here Luda !

Bewilderbeast · 14/03/2008 13:33

I used to live near you (ish) in Llandre

BiancaCastafiore · 14/03/2008 13:33

"There is speculation in the village that the bomb may have belonged to a local character called Dai Rogers who, it is understood, used it as a doorstop for many years.

Locals also believe that Mr Rogers may have found the bomb on some hills overlooking the village many years ago," he added.

Speaking about the previous owner of the bomb, Lyn Ebenezer from the village, described Mr Rogers was a "local eccentric and inventor".

"Dai was a wonderful chap, he was an eccentric but also a good inventor," he said.

"He kept a monkey called Jimmy but he was shot by the local police after he escaped and attacked a local schoolboy.

"Dai once invented a machine for generating electricity using a bicycle. But he played jokes on people by attaching wires to the doorknob of his house and when people called he would jump on his bike and give them a shock."

Ludaloo · 14/03/2008 13:36

Oh Yes! That is us! Cor we are famous

Ludaloo · 14/03/2008 13:37

It can't be that risky if he used it as a doorstop unless he didn't know what it was??

Ewww to cutting his toenails...I maybe would if he really couldn't but it would make me gag!

Ludaloo · 14/03/2008 13:46

IC I know!!! How cool

Another fascinating fact, our village has an elephant buriel!
A travelling circus stopped here once and their elephant died...and was buried in the cemetary of the church.

The kids love to go and see it!

The madness never ends does it!!
