Evening all

Tortoise - I've read your thread, but boys are a bit of a mystery to me still. ds is only just 2 and I am constantly amazed by jst howboyish and different he is o the dds. It does sound like you have a sensible teacher to help though.

TMH - DP is useless at discapline, too. He lets hem get away with all kinds of stuff, and shouts at other times. I am much more consistent, and as they have got older, they don't hate me, but they do know where they stand, and stick to my rules even when dp decides in his wisdom to over rule me (eg by buying dd1 age 8 a 16 rated x-box game)

Bianca I'm glad you made it to your mms grave the flowers sound lovely. I can't imagine losing a parent....I still have a grandparent. I definitely didn't appreciate mine before I had my ow children, but am very aware of how lucky I am now.

GO - dd2 refused to try and read for almost th whole of reception She got over it.

Ruby I bow down before you, Oh wise woman

Big wave to Everyone I've missed.

ds fell asleep on the floor at 6.30 so I'm going to finish off my evening routine and spend some time with the dds before they go up.

EHM · 10/03/2008 19:33

bianca glad you managed to visit & that the flowers where lovely{{{hugs}}}
TMH You may be stubborn...I would say you are strong & determined & an inspiration to us all. Despite having to go through this unimaginable stuff in your life. You still have kind words for anybody that needs them. you are selfless & generous. A true angel your dh & boys are very lucky. I am sure you'll say you are very lucky to have them too

Right dh is bathing ellie. I feel rather weepy & my back is sore..could be AF..who knows only time will tell

Have a great night all, hope all lo's who are poorly have better nights..x.x.x

Hi everyone.

Tort - I have added to your thread.

Ruby - Agree with everything you've said to TMH and would have done the same if I'd been around. Also agree that practicality & realism & humour is much more uesful than sympathy which TMH will already get bundles of (IMO).

TMH - Ruby's links were really interesting. Scared the crap out of me though so I imagine you are all over the place right now. I'm having a knee ops soon and I'm worried about looking after the kids after that. Not a patch on your potential surgery though. I would recommend that whatever you do that when you gate a date for any of the procedures you have a diary/planner and list down the help you can get on each day. Ie , from DH or your mum, or friends etc. It will reassure you that you will have someone with you, the kids will be looked after etc.

Done no housework today and DH is late so I'm starving....

AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH I have just remembered i have someone coming round at 10am tomorrow and the front room is a tip! i was about to turn comp off and go to bed!

tortoise · 10/03/2008 22:04

Little bit tidier. Not very good though! Lots of stuff piled in one corner and really need to hoover! Hopefully can hoover before school/pre-school run!

I wish i wasn't so untidy. Will just have to appologise for the mess. Its the social workers assistant which makes it worse!

TheMadHouse · 10/03/2008 22:08

Ruby and FGS it nice to know I can count on you to "keep it real"

I am not too worried we will manage, always have. PIL and mum are a bit pants with help, but freezer is already full and DH recons I am nesting in reverse (drastically culling things).

A lot will be on DH's sholders, but that is fine, he will manage.

I will catch up more tomorrow. Needed man cuddles tonight
