Is changing my sheets twice a week too much?

Not DC's just mine. I love getting into fresh linen. Am I just making a rod for my own back, or does anyone else do this?

But so what? I like to change my bedding after I've had horrendous night sweats on these clammy nights. It's still stale sweat and I don't like it.

That's fair enough! I just don't think it's the same as gym clothes as synthetics stink.

I sleep better on clean sheets. I'm also cheap: in winter I use a duvet and cover and the whole lots gets done weekly. In summer I switch to sheets with or without a blanket.
The bottom sheet and all pillowcases go in the wash every 3/4 days and the top becomes the bottom sheet. So it's a whole set every week ( plus pillowcases) but I get the clean bed feeling twice a week. The DC have this too.

Yes, the planet needs you to wash bed linen less often. Just air it?

If I do it once a week I feel like I’m winning at life!

😂😂 Me too.

I'd do it when you want, as you want, or when you think you need it, and I don't think it is an unreasonable question to ask out of curiosity - who knows what others do, and plenty of us have engaged. Although having seen the responses, I am definitely with the "longer time on" crew, although more out of laziness and "no real need" than any burning sustainability agenda. I sort of feel a bit grubby now, and like a planet killer.

I would love clean ironed cotton bedlinen every night, but I don't think it's justifiable - mostly environmentally but also in time because it's so unnecessary. Once a week in summer. Once a fortnight in winter.

@ThursdayFreedom I will do definitely as I'm intrigued now. Naturally you assume a 28 minute freshen up wash will use far less electricity and water than the standard cycle which is at the least on my machine 2hrs 03mins! Seems strange but you may well be right.
I'll cheekily add in my defence though as you could have a point, we sleep naked so no extra pjs or whatever to wash.
