bianca great idea maybe a project like this with dd involved could be a distraction from what is making her upset? Love the red heart stuff in next. I was thinking about using this when we move for ellie's new room.(when we sell our house & find a new one that is) The bedding looks lovely.
dream good luck with morning routine.

Sorry somebody asked me where the clinic was & I didn't respond. We live in St Albans & the clinic we attended yesterday is in Raynes Park which is about 35 miles away. we usual attend their clinic in Harley St which is much closer. It can be done by train & tube which is less stressful. Train journey takes about 20mins, then quick walk to tube station 2 stops & we are there walk 5 mins from tube station.

Have done so far:
morning routine
changed bedding on cot
wipe surfaces in all bedrooms
spoken to my mum, sister & an estate agent
cuddled ellie(she is on my knee now)

Must do:
hoover down stairs
mop floors
post my dad birthday card & present

have a good day all.x.x.x

hoovered upstairs

EHM · 20/02/2008 11:03

bianca what abot these Charlie & Lola

ludaloo · 20/02/2008 11:03

Hi again...I had to go into town in the end, as I discovered a message on the answer machine, from the Stove Shop to say that the piece of glass for the fire was in (have been waiting yonks!) £47 for a piece of glass the size of a place mat! ....got to have it though, you can't light the fire without the glass...doesn't pull a draught through properly...plus we have to burn Anthracite, which gives off lots of Carbon Monoxide. DH is comming home for lunch to fit it....at last we can stop freezing!

EHM That does sound like an ear infection, my DD2 gets a temp and tends to have it overnight when she gets one.

Ruby I love the colour scheme.

Bianca We have stick arounds and a stick on border...from Focus.... in the kids bedroom...big lilac daisies
DS had thomas stickers on his wall, which came off very easily. They are very good at adding a bit of a change in a room.

Hi to damewashalot Hope you manage to get some ummph from somewhere today

Hi to TMH hope DS's eye is less swollen today.

Big hello to everyone else too

ludaloo · 20/02/2008 11:07

Daisies

ludaloo · 20/02/2008 11:08

They do a border too, but I can't find it on the web site...

EHM · 20/02/2008 11:12

Luda* at cost of glass. thats what I was afraid of with regards to ear infection. this will be the 3rd in matter of months & doctor gave her antibiotics very reluctantly the last time because she was so poorly. I've not taken her to dr's yet I would prefer if she could fight this one herself. If she gets much worse or temp get dangerously high I will.I moment she is fine in herself if not abit cuddly which isn't a bad thing. She is 21 months.

EHM · 20/02/2008 11:13

luda love the diaises.

EHM · 20/02/2008 11:19

bianca I know you are not looking for ds, but just seen these tonka stickers

BiancaCastafiore · 20/02/2008 11:28

Thanks (sorry Ruby I have hijacked your childrens room decorating questions )
Dd likes Charlie and Lola but is trying to get away from anything cbeebies related (in public anyway - she secretly still enjoys it ) so I think we'll go for the swirls - it's what she's spotted and likes the look of. I'll do it secretly while she's a grandmas I think
Love the Tonka stickers for ds EHM He has planes at the moment and now says he'd like space ships and UFOs but I think we'll have to wait a while.

Just lost my temper with ds who has just trodden mud right through the house on his way from the garden to the loo (we have rules about shoes in the house!) When I asked him about it he said "Who cares?" Now I need to hoover again I've made a small start on the utility room and it's looking better already. It needs a coat of paint and some different lighting really, it's such a dull little box of a room.

anyway, better get on. Back again later I'm sure

Ahhh, she might be able to fight this one off maybe...it could be just left over from the others!

I like the tonka stickers

At the moment all 3 of mine are sleeping in the same room, as noone is happy on their own in the spare room. DS and DD1 share a bunk bed, and DD2 has a single. The decor is very girly, as it was DD1's room when we first moved in. Ds had the spare room which was (well still is) blue with a Thomas theme, I was pregnant then, so with just the two of them, they had a room each, and they seemed fine with that...but when DD2 arrived, I had to put her in with DD1, and DS was not happy about that! So now they are all in together!

I would dearly like to redecorate everywhere...the decor is not of my taste at all....especially our room, which is Terracotta....but very orange! Orange walls...curtains etc. We rent, and neither of us feel we could justify spending money to redecorate as we might not be here for too long...who knows...
We did do the kids bedrooms though...we had to. One room was Liverpool Football wallpaper...really grim! (and matching lightshade) The other room had wallpaper hanging off, and a big hippo painted on it, which DD1 was petrified of!

BiancaCastafiore · 20/02/2008 11:36

He's 4.5 and usually such a sweet little chap I did start to say he couldn't go to his friends party this afternoon but I know I couldn't follow through (I need the peace!) He and dd are keeping each other out of my way in teh garden again atm, maybe I should have made him hoover, I will next time for sure.

ludaloo · 20/02/2008 11:38

Is anyone else really statically charged ATM?? Just lately we have all been really really static! I keep getting shocks off things, and the kids hair floats about for most of the day! Putting DD2's jumper on this morning, gave us both a shock and she jumped a mile!
Her hair gets pulled towards the tv and things! very weird, as it only seems to be so bad recently!
I took my dressing gown off last night as I got into bed...and as it was dark, you could see little blue flashes as I took it off!

EHM · 20/02/2008 11:39

ruby does this work with cats my cats keeps trailing mud in very annouying

ludaloo · 20/02/2008 11:45

....And...taking the clothes out the dryer is really quite treaturous!!!!

ludaloo · 20/02/2008 11:47

My cat keeps trailing her dinner around she drags it out of her bowl and eats it on the floor! I even bought a little feeding tray thingy...so she would pull it out onto the tray, but she pulls it right off the tray too

LOL...EHM maybe we could tie little cloths to their feet so they wiped up after themselves

ludaloo · 20/02/2008 11:51

ROFL...I have a very weird image of you hissing and spraying everywhere Ruby LOL.
I might give that a go...we have EVERY bloomin cat in the world pooing in our garden! I go out sometimes, and wonder if dogs have got in! (We have two gates and a wall so that is doubtful...but the poos are huge! Great big Tomcat Poos by the looks of them!

EHM · 20/02/2008 12:02

luda that happens with ellie's hair? I wonder why you are so charged at moment?bianca that will be a lovely surprise for dd.

DontDreamItBeIt · 20/02/2008 12:03

I love those Tonka stickers for ds, too
If When the bathroom is finished, ds and dd2 will be getting a new room. DD2 desperately wants to paint everything pink, but as they are both going to be in it for a whileI'm going to have to come up with somethig creative to please them both

I've finished my morning routine, read poastman pat tells the time again (The only book ds acually chooses to look at) and made flapjack.
I'll hoover and then start upstairs.

EHM · 20/02/2008 12:06

pmsl at RR spitting at the cats & luda with tiny cloths. I've asked them both lots of times to do housework as they really need to earn their keep...nothing

ludaloo · 20/02/2008 12:09

Hmmm I am cold...and bored....when DH arrives...I will be able to clean the fire out and get warm...and might even polish the hearth and give the fire a clean so it looks all lovely with its new glass.
I can dust at the same time then, and give it a thorough hoover to pick up all the bits.

Oh....I spoke to an old school friend last night, we were very good friends at school, and were always the irritating pair who giggled uncontrolably at pretty much anything and everything!
She had me in stitches! (you know the laugh, that is quite rare these days, but it makes your stomach muscles ache and your cheeks red)
Her DH took her out for a meal for valentines, and he got up to get more drinks, and she popped off to the loo just behind him. When she got back, she realised she had set the table cloth on fire! She had dropped a napkin in the candle, which had fallen onto the table!
Her DH came back and she said the pair of them just stood looking in amazement for at least a minute or so, before they realised they had better do something!
.....she always was so completely accident prone LOL

If there was anyone to eat too many wotsits at once and then choke on the puffy bits, until a passer by had to intervene...it was her. Or get her arm stuck in a drinks machine and miss a geography lesson! Bless her

ludaloo · 20/02/2008 12:14

Even as teenagers she didn't fair much better. we were getting ready for a night out once, and having a glass or two as you do to get you in the mood. Well she managed to get completely legless on Blue Nun, before we even left the house, and I came into the bathroom to find her lying in a heap at the bottom of the sink, with lippy in her hand, and a line of lippy all the way down her chin and downt the sink stand! LOL
