Has anyone removed their salad drawers?

I'm quite short and our fridge is tiny so it's really difficult to take stuff out. I end up ignoring it and everything goes off Blush so I've taken them out.

Has anyone else?

@Hersetta427

I did - definitely don't regret it. Used the space for all the tall things in my fridge.
I love the organisers you have instead! Much easier to use!!

@FailedFledge

Mine is the overflow fridge that came with me when I moved back in with parents. Just checked and the yogurts in my salad compartment expired in October. I think I might get rid of the compartment as I clearly can't be trusted to use it.
Shock😂😂😂

I am glad to see this thread (FYI I have very little life too, clearly :o) - I’ve been wondering about doing this. We have plenty of veg but one big salad drawer just does not work. We are an ADHD house and things get forgotten about if they aren’t staring us in the face. I was thinking of removing the drawer but somehow still dividing the space.

I've done it! I have removed the salad drawers, filled the space with jars and bottles and now all my lovely veggies are visible! Happy me!

I have a dilemma.

I removed the salad drawers from my old fridge before it went to the tip, because, well you never know when you might want a spare salad drawer. They don't fit the new fridge.

What is a girl to do?

Mine are in a 600mm kitchen cupboard with potatoes, red onions etc in.

Has anyone removed their salad drawers?

@wastedtwenties They're still there, I just can't face doing them, at least they aren't dairy so they won't smell.

Oooh, I was NOT expecting that fridge-organising spat in the middle of this thread 😈 If kids argued about housekeeping tips in the playground, that’s what it would look like 🤣

Back in my carefree city days, I used to keep all the cans of diet coke in them.

Now, we just play the game of 'shove this thing in the fridge anywhere there is space'.

Aka "fridge tetris".

We have a wine drawer instead.
