All constructive posts very welcome, whether you are an old familiar, usually a lurker or completely new to the thread. It would probably be helpful if new posters read my OP and my posts on the first thread before posting - many thanks.

No posts on Thread 2 please until the first thread is completely full - thank you.

I've just made it through the entire first thread & this one so thought I'd say hello & wish you well.

My house is nowhere near as messy as your friends house, but he is so lucky to have a friend like you.

You have given me hope I'll finally get to the end of what feels like never ending tidying in my house (which you'd probably have done in a week as it's not that bad, it's just hard for me to do).

MN has redone the site and for some reason threads showing up in Active have been older ones, often inactive for more than a year.

@mathanxiety , this degree of gap is quite common, if you check back the previous threads.
Whilst it is quite possible @EatingTheElephantInChunks has given up updating, it is equally possible this is just a normal hiatus in posting.
(Unlike all the other Zombie threads we are all being subjected to, at the moment due to this site update! 🙄)

EatingThe Elephant hasn't updated. Her last post was on 06/09/2021 at 09:36. An update by the OP is not the reason why this thread has sprung to life again.

A lot of old threads have suddenly appeared in Active convos since the revamp, and for some reason this was among them. Hence all the new posts.

For all we know, EatingTheElephant may not even be on MN any more.

And I, like others, are well aware of the problems with the update.
However, @EatingTheElephantInChunks does have a history of leaving big time gaps between updates.
And I think, as adults, we are all aware of the problems going on with historical threads at the moment and don't need telling about it, several times. You made your point, the first time.

@EatingTheElephantInChunks last updated just over six months ago. Hardly a years old, Zombie thread like some we are all seeing.
