Sorry I am a bit late doing this - I am just back from the school run - but here is day 8

OP posts:
purpleturtle · 21/05/2007 09:28

washer on. breakfast cleared and rice krispies swept up .

Plan to do the home blessing business later on. Baby group this morning.

See you later!

GlassSlipper · 21/05/2007 10:04

I already have the washing as part of my routine so fel quite smug. Knackered as DD2 slept badly so nothing done yet. Not so smug.

JackieNo · 21/05/2007 10:05

Have you seen the article on Flylady in the Times today ?

purpleturtle · 21/05/2007 15:13

I hadn't, so thanks. Don't think she said anything I disagreed with!

purpleturtle · 22/05/2007 10:06

Who'd have thought that 21 days later I'd still be here?

Haven't done it yet, but the intention's there.

Plan to make a rhubarb crumble while ds2 naps this morning, as it's FIL's birthday and they're round for tea (and to babysit cos I forgot about his birthday when I asked them ).

But first, I need to clear away the breakfast remnants, and sweep up all the rice krispies, again.

I really, really want to go back to bed...

Chirpygirl · 22/05/2007 10:43

I'm half heartedly here as it's my birthday and I refuse to clean on my birthday!

purpleturtle · 22/05/2007 11:17

crumble ready to go

next job is to put some of ds1's extra clothes in the charity sack that came through the door yesterday.

Might be able to shut his drawers then! It's all very well keeping up with the washing, so long as you've got space for it all.

purpleturtle · 22/05/2007 11:20

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Chirpygirl · 22/05/2007 11:32

Thanks, wasn't angling for it but it's much appreciated!

Am off to drop DD at a friends and then DH is taking me out to lunch...

purpleturtle · 22/05/2007 12:32

how lovely! enjoy

GlassSlipper · 22/05/2007 12:35

Happy Birthday Chripygirl.

Just think. After day 30 you can graduate to the big fly thread. They can be quite motivating

purpleturtle · 23/05/2007 11:38

I'm a bit scared of the big fly thread .

OK, so far today I have had a little lie-in ; load in machine; been to Tesco and put shopping away and been out to the library for holiday reading (like I'm going to get a chance!)

Dh has unloaded the dishwasher and the washing machine.

So we seem to be on top of things so far, I'll find out what flylady has in store...

Day 22 here. Easy enough. My control is right in front of me. Not that I ever open it .

purpleturtle · 23/05/2007 11:39

My control Journal obviously.

Trinityrhino · 23/05/2007 11:40

NORMA NORMA NORMA

I MISS YOU
how are you
and your pruple crocs

my house is a mess, am I even allowed in here?

GlassSlipper · 23/05/2007 13:01

Hi Trinity - welcome

Hi Purple. You're doing well. Saw today's babystep. I dont have a journal but I have a file on the PC so I've just looked at it

Morning routine so far is as follows :

  1. Make bed
  2. Swish & Swipe bathroom
  3. Put a washload in
  4. Empty dishwasher
  5. DRINK SOME WATER
  6. Clear away breakfast things
  7. Think about dinner - take out meat if needed

I have done all except no 2 and no 5 so I'm quite pleased.

purpleturtle · 24/05/2007 10:04

OK, so for Day 23 we have to set an afternoon routine.

I already have one : cup of tea, kids in front of telly, me on MN. Do you think it counts?

Busy today, as packing for a week's camping. have already collected roofbox from friend's garage, and am now attempting to assemble all the kit we might need. Am also praying that the car is actually a tardis!

purpleturtle · 24/05/2007 10:05

Where's Norma got to? Is there a week 4 thread that we should be on by now, or has she done a runner?

GlassSlipper · 24/05/2007 12:17

dunno. let's stick to this and then we'll go to the grown up thread after babysteps are over.

my afternoon routine. is cuppa, neighbours.

Chirpygirl · 24/05/2007 13:13

Hmm, afternoon routine is -
Put DD down for nap
Watch ER
tidy hot spots (I have loads!) in ad breaks!

GlassSlipper · 24/05/2007 13:37
Grin
purpleturtle · 24/05/2007 15:47

Guess what! Dd is just home from school, and CBeebies is on . Although it's ds1 who's in front of it, refusing to play in the garden with dd.

GlassSlipper · 24/05/2007 15:51

Have a lovely time camping purple.

Both my Dds are sleeping. Unheard of for it to be together so I am having another cuppa. Cant get the hang of drinking water a la fly.

purpleturtle · 24/05/2007 16:49

It's got water in it.

GlassSlipper · 25/05/2007 08:21
