Sorry I am a bit late doing this - I am just back from the school run - but here is day 8

OP posts:
purpleturtle · 14/05/2007 19:27

Fatally I invited a friend and her kids round after school, so the kids' room has taken 2 steps back after its step forward earlier on!

funnypeculiar · 14/05/2007 19:29

Right, sink shiny, toilet clean, and lots of dd's clothes sorted into Nearly New Sale & Charity shop bags

purpleturtle · 14/05/2007 19:31

Ooh yes, I need to sort out ds1's clothes...

funnypeculiar · 14/05/2007 19:35

Was lovely and theraputic in the way that chucking stuff is ... but made me sniff a bit

Chirpygirl · 14/05/2007 20:24

Okay, took old tv to the tip today, finally, (my excuse is I can't lift it myself, what with being pregnant and all... so that left a lovely space for me to tidy DD's toys into, so that's done.

Put her to bed and then went round my room and cleared the floor for the first time in months. I have a shedload of washing (about 4 loads) and still to do the dressing table but the room looks lovely, shame I don't have any clean sheets!

Also done bathroom and 2 hotspots!

glassslipper · 15/05/2007 07:45

Morning Guys. You are doing so well.

Here is day14

I have a shiny sink, have unloaded the d/w, had breakfast, fed DDs. Now I need to get dressed sort a load of washing and get DDs dressed.

See you later.

glassslipper · 15/05/2007 08:43

and here is kelly's mission

purpleturtle · 15/05/2007 11:54

Do you feel like this is making a difference in your homes? I really do. I've been out this morning, and it was so lovely to come home to a clear kitchen, and a bathroom that isn't covered in dust.

Please tell me the novelty won't wear off!

Am going to do the 27 fling boogie this afternoon. Could probably do it twice over in my kids' room.

glassslipper · 15/05/2007 21:07

Definitely purpleturtle. once you're sucked in you start to feel proud of your tidy house

glassslipper · 16/05/2007 11:25

Guys. I'm flitting between FLY threads at the moment but Flame is telling us all what to do here so if you can cope with repeating a week it might make sense

here

Chirpygirl · 16/05/2007 15:15

Hmm, Day 15 here is 'Make your bed'

Now I have a problem with that, I never make my bed since I read it is more liekey you will get bed bugs and other grubbies if you make it as it is all nice and cosy warm...so I am not doing it (yeah! so there!)

Having said that I do find that although my house is by no means immaculate even DH has started to notice that it is looking better, I now don't have to shut doors on rooms when people come round, and it doesn't look like I've been burgled when I walk in the front door!

glassslipper · 16/05/2007 16:33

I do try and make my bed every day. Trouble is dd1 gets in it for her milk at bathtime so its never lovely when i go to get in it at night!

purpleturtle · 16/05/2007 21:00

First time I've got to the PC today! Fortunately, I made my bed when I got out of it anyway.

Feel like I've been a hamster stuck in the wheel today. A late night followed by an early start did not help! I ended up jogging round Tesco so that I didn't make dh late for work this lunchtime LOL.

Chirpygirl · 18/05/2007 12:16

Well, aren't we naughty girls!
\link[http://flylady.net/pages/bbd16.asp\Day 16} here and Day 17

I am still managing to keep on top of things, my bedroom is almost immaculate thanks to my 15 mins decluttering every day, I do it after I have put DD in bed while I am still upstairs and it feels so much nicer when I go to bed now.
My kitchen still leaves a little to be desired but I cook every meal from scratch, and made pastry with DD yesterday so there is flour everywhere still, but it is easier to clean when there is only 1 days mess!

Chirpygirl · 18/05/2007 12:16

Day 16

[dammit]

purpleturtle · 18/05/2007 13:03

No.

Just don't think I can do it!

I like the late evening. Although 6.30 starts (a recent innovation in the turtle household) are beginning to take their toll.

Chirpygirl · 18/05/2007 13:11

I can't either, DH works shifts so sometimes needs to be up at 6 so we go up early, and sometimes doesn't get home until half 10, which means I stay up until midnight just so I get some time with him without DD!

Sorry Flylady...this I cannot do!

purpleturtle · 18/05/2007 16:01

Although, I get an e-mail come through at 11.45pm telling me to go to bed, and I am nearly always in bed by then. Maybe I'll put that down in my routine - I'm sure it's okay to go to bed early, isn't it?

Chirpygirl, you could write down 1am for yours.

purpleturtle · 19/05/2007 20:32

Oooh, looks like commitment is wearing off, here.

Anyone done Day 18's Baby step ?

PIL's arrived today for a local stay this week, and for once I didn't feel obliged to blitz the house before they arrived, because things are jogging along quite nicely.

GlassSlipper · 19/05/2007 21:09

I'm still here purple. I've been on flame's fly thread as its a bit busier but i even wrote down a night time routine yesterday.

I've been out all day today but we've just got back., I've put the girls to bed, loaded the dishwasher and cleared the kitchen. Everywhere else is a bomb site but I promise to take the clean clothes up and put them away before bed, and sort out what I'm wearing tomorrow.

Chirpygirl · 20/05/2007 10:09

I'm still here!
I am still following, it's nice that my bedroom is immaculate, the sitting room hot spots get put out every day and the kitchen is so nice I can cook in it without having to sterilise the whole place first!

I just still have a problem with the get dressed to lace up shoes thing....I mean, come on, how many of you actually wear lace up shoes fgs?! (I don't include trainers!)

GlassSlipper · 20/05/2007 10:14

I'm doing well today.

I am dressed, breakfasted, d/w emptied & reloaded, w/m on and I have just hoovered downstairs.

Here is day18

purpleturtle · 20/05/2007 16:56

Actually, that's Day 19, because today is day 19. It links to the right page anyway. And I don't think i'll be reading any testimonial today!

My bedroom contains a fair amount of camping gear in preparation for our half-term holiday. It's tidy underneath, though!

GlassSlipper · 20/05/2007 17:30

lol. i dont know what day it is. that's my problem

done a bit in the house today but plan to start again in earnest tomorrow.

GlassSlipper · 21/05/2007 08:50
