Welcome one and all

I know all about flylady, think she is fab but at the moment feeling too emotionally crippled to cope with the emails, wearing shoes, the huge long threads, the pressure of doing it right.......

so no links to her please

I will get there at some point but for now

For whatever reason that you cry about your house or are scared to start cause there is tooo much to do.

Let s just whinge and try and do a little thing a day if we can

morning to all

Honestly, it's just not good enough, is it?

ItsMeMellowma · 08/02/2007 19:09

No Tis not, I am here again ...just checking...

Thing is she has about 3 threads going atm anyway so I just know I shall miss it all...

JillybeansNW · 09/02/2007 08:17

Hoooray
TR has news

MummyPenguin · 09/02/2007 12:39

Congrats to TR.

She'd be proud of me, I've just had a great burst of effort. Got in from gym at about 10.40 a.m. and immediately started tidying up, made the kids beds, tidied their rooms, dried my hair, filled the sink for washing up, shaken throws on sofa out. Polished. Just having some luch, then will have a quick hoover, sort some washing out, and hopefully have time for a little sit down before school pick up. DD has a friend coming over today, and I'm sure this is why I'm making the house look nice. Otherwise I'd think feck it and be a lazy slattern as usual.

TrinityRhino · 10/02/2007 18:20

hi all

so sorry to have abandoned you, glad to hear that you have been carrying on

I have managed today to not collapse in a sobbing heap

I have just had a shower which was AMAZING

umm can't think of anything else I have managed to achieve except coping with vey sore huge boobs and feeding the little gecko almost constantly

I am remembering to drink lots and eating regularly. will try to gradually get back to having little bursts of effort but at the mo my mum is helping lots and dh too so I am enjoying the help
hope everyone is well

has everyone abandoned me??

OP posts:
purplemonkeydishwasher · 11/02/2007 09:37

abandoned you? NEVER!!

We're going back to our own houes tomorrow (MIL arrives home at 9:30) SOOOOO we need to do a complete BLITZ on her house. Because deespite my best efforts I am, in fact, still a slob and her house is messy too... no where near as bad as mine, but then it's only been 2 weeks!!

So far today i have emptied the dishwasher and cleaned the sink in the kitchen. Have to:

hoover
dust (I NEVER EVER do it at MY house!!)
clean bathroomSSSS (makes me glad i only have ONE at home!)
laundry
water plants (i think i've nearly killed most of them - check out the black thumbs!)
strip beds

PLUS -- DH has to finish cleaning the car because we are going to take it in today to be valued as a trade-in for our new (to us) one!

makes me tired just reading taht list.
i need a cage to put ds in while i DO all this stuff!!!!!!

TR - I'm so glad that you are home and that all went well with little gecko (any thoughts on naming her yet?? ). I think i can see your giant norks from here!!!

JillybeansNW · 12/02/2007 00:57

Hey TR - Great to see you back on here (though I demand that you TAKE CARE of yourself and little princess gecko blanket rather than do any big bursts - ffs if you can't get everyone to do stuff for you now what chance do any of us have??)
I have been away for t'weekend to chilly jocko land so have not been bursting in the effort department at all. This week is half term too, so I expect my house to be trashed [sigh].
I will update on my trials in the morning.

Love to you all

purplemonkeydishwasher · 13/02/2007 09:14

GOOOOOOOD MOOOOOOOORNIIIIIIING!!

Everyone up and at 'em?

Yeah, me neither!

We're are (finally) back home after 2 weeks at MIL's. I slept sooo much better last night! Her house is always so tidy that it's a bit catchy. so yesterday I semi cleaned my room (ie. I put away some clean laundry, hoovered up a whole dog's worth of dog hair and cleaned out the fireplace - it doesn't work. it was just reeeaaalllly dusty!)
then made some homemade soup for dinner (and sent some round to MIL - I'm such a good DIL!!) put DS to bed. tidied up the kitchen. ironed shirts for DH. I RULE!

Today...well we ate breakfast does that count?

JillybeansNW · 13/02/2007 12:04

Ahhh company.

Today I have loaded the dishwasher and eaten.

DD has gone for a nap so I am going to disinfect my kitchen (there is still sweet potato on the floor from last night , BLW really is messy!) I was away just for the weekend, at ILs in Scotland, and now have to try to catch up. Half term isn't making it any easier, and DS2 is still in his PJs.

Hi everyone.
Congrats Trinity! It sounds like you're doing really well. Just holding it together at this stage is a huge effort in itself!

Well, I have had a rubbish morning. Poor ds had to have mop of hair cut (which is quite traumatic for him) and then he got bitten by the caged parrot in the barbers! Poor thing stuck his finger in.
The barber decided to put some wax in ds' hair 'for being a good boy' and made it all spikey at the back and flattened at the front!(ds is 21 months)
I felt like such a prat taking him round Tesco's looking like that. People must have thought I was a right deranged mum.

Drove home and managed to hit my mirror at stupid width restriction post (duh!) and discovered that I had a flat tyre.

And my house is such a tip! I haven't unloaded the shopping yet, the sink is sky high with dishes and everywhere needs cleaning.

Off to start now.

JillyBeansNW · 13/02/2007 16:04

Hey Mellow -Didn't see your post til now (Have been out on bikes as I realised what a MISTAKE it was to stay in all day yesterday, DS2 is on half term and driving me mad!!). I don't know where you live or I could check the weather forecast for you . I should have hung mine out but it has been threatening to rain all day.

TrinityRhino · 13/02/2007 16:10

hi guys
MW was just here to take blodd from me and do the heel prick thingy on Gecko. Ugh, I feel worn out

little bubba obviously hates being naked for weighing and then being pricked and squeezed.

lovely to see you all still here

just trying to keep everyone safe and well at the mo is all I have the effort for but I did make a list of things we are going to ebay

I know just a list and I haven't actually put anything on ebay but it's a start

OP posts:
TrinityRhino · 15/02/2007 23:43

well, you've all quite understandably abandoned me but I made a l,ittle burst of effort today and sent a package promptly to someone who had bought it off ebay from me

OP posts:
purplemonkeydishwasher · 16/02/2007 08:01

RIght, no abandonment here TR!
Just had a busy week and haven't been home much!
TOday i actually have nothing planned so i'll have to tidyyyyyyy

DS was asleep by 8:30 and i did some filing that i've been meanin gto do for ages.

TrinityRhino · 16/02/2007 08:44

I agree purple

purplemonkeydishwasher · 16/02/2007 09:14

loveheart - WELCOME!
have a cup of tea before you start bursting with effort though. then just take it one step at a time.

today I have to:
tidy kitchen
do laundry (never ending...)
hoover
put up with a clingy whiny toddler.

Aloveheart · 16/02/2007 09:16

Doesn't help though does it?

i miss my tumble dryer my ex had it but i did have mostly all the stuff so i couldn't moan really, lol

i want to get one soon, because sometimes in summer it rains but too hot to put heating on. And i always always seem to have stacks of washing to do. I hate putting it away so ends up in baskets aroudn the house and before long it's been tipped up and have to wash it all again because i don't konw what's clean or dirty. It is my own fault though so have no sympathy for me, lol
