Welcome one and all

I know all about flylady, think she is fab but at the moment feeling too emotionally crippled to cope with the emails, wearing shoes, the huge long threads, the pressure of doing it right.......

so no links to her please

I will get there at some point but for now

For whatever reason that you cry about your house or are scared to start cause there is tooo much to do.

Let s just whinge and try and do a little thing a day if we can

morning to all

hey! leave my DS's hobbies out of it!!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 31/01/2007 08:42

morning!

i'm sooooo tired. this whole taking the boob away thing is realllllly exhausting. i just want to sleeeeeep. ds wants to jump on my head. we'll agree to disagree.

this morning i woke up to an empty butter container on the kitchen floor. why? because my MIL's theiving mutt stole it off the table and ATE it. ALL. i guess it's ok though. it was unsalted.

today i am going to attempt to hoover and tidy the kitchen. if it stops raining maybe go out and pick up dog poo. three effing dogs' worth.

first thing first though....what am i going to out on my toast now that the butter's gone......

Kiff · 31/01/2007 08:58

you know what i hate? as soon as 'mum' slacks on housework - everyone else gives up tidying too.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 31/01/2007 10:32

absolutely kiff!

well, i've just cleaned the floor in the utility room. strangely it was covered in melted butter....

Kiff · 31/01/2007 13:53

???? butter ???

I'm sure theres a story there - in the style of sitcoms that start at the end then tell you what wild series of events led you there.

I'm thinking... tumble dryer used to make fondue since your dcs couldn't reach the hob..

AnonWhoAmI · 31/01/2007 13:55

LOL at the butter.
Well we are back to normality - DS2 decided to go to school this PM, mostly I think because he had the bits of metal they took out his leg to show his little 7 year old friends. They love gruesome stuff at that age!
I have hung out washing, then got it back in (its gonna rain I think), and put another load on. Did washing up first thing and unloaded dishwasher. DD is asleep now so I might try to clean the living room.
Kiff - I totally agree - though my lot are not that good at clearing up after themselves at the best of times [sigh]

JillybeansNW · 31/01/2007 14:00

oops - accidental name change

JillybeansNW · 01/02/2007 12:45

Morning all, Oh, OK, afternoon all.

Well, have taken DS2 to school (on his crutches so I had to take the car), put on nappy wash and am wondering whether I can unload the dishwasher without waking up DD. Really need to clean livingroom floor, but she is asleep on the sofa so I will have to do it on tippytoes.

Just read this thread and nearly wet myself laughing.

Oh - so glad that that link worked

Wintersun · 01/02/2007 13:07

Good afternoon everyone.
Haven't been on for a while.
Trinityrhino how are you doing? Any signs of labour yet?

Well, I've cleaned the kitchen and living room and have washed all my towels (nice big pile of them in the laundry bin) and hung them ouside to dry. I'm hoping its mild enough to dry outside.

I have to clear out the spare room by next week. It is a tip and full of laundry and odd-bods. Does my head in.

I've got to think about and cook dinner today.
I should really meal plan in advance as I'm sure it must save so much time and stress!

JillybeansNW · 01/02/2007 14:40

I am cooking easy dinner tonight (pasta bake). DD woke up immediately after my last post so Livingroom floor is still a sight.
Now, I need to hang nappies up.

JillybeansNW · 01/02/2007 17:30

Where is everyone today? Trinity - hope you are OK? Or have you just got some exciting news for us all

Kiff · 01/02/2007 20:00

Where is everyone, well I'm procrastinating.

Coat stand fell on Dd as she tried to pull some stuff off it... I headed on out regardless, and ended up here

came home late steeeepppped over the coats (my hall is knee deep in them). And went to chcuk kids on the bath and warm up some beans for Dd.

Tidies Dds room though, even if did end up late in bed becasue of it. She has the only nice corner in the house tonight.

My mum may be coming tomorrow to help with Dd - to tidy, or to abandon dignity and let her see the unvarnished truth?

congrats Trinity - didn't know you were expecting

JillybeansNW · 01/02/2007 20:54

Kiff PMSL at ballet - I have my first girl (2DSs) and look forward to that kind of thing (though I obviously won't be pushy, oh no, not me, not ever )
Sounds like fun though!!

Wintersun · 01/02/2007 22:23

Can someone please kick me out of here so I can clean the kitchen before I go to bed please?
Dh is still at work and I've just been sitting at the pc eating biscuits. Argh!

Kiff · 01/02/2007 22:31

go go go, winter, go!

think of that shiny clean work surface Jif smell.

think of being able to run your finger along it without getting bogged down in grease or crumbs.

Kiff · 01/02/2007 22:32

GO GO GO!

(I'll just keep cheerin', and you keep cleanin' m'love)

Wintersun · 01/02/2007 22:34

Thanks kiff
Now that I've been told, I'm going to have to go.
I'm sure it will take no more than 20 mins too.
Thoughts of clean, sparkling and fresh smelling kitchen beckon......

JillybeansNW · 01/02/2007 22:45

OO oo oo - I'm gonna do the kitchen too now

Kiff · 01/02/2007 22:47

GO GO GO!

Wintersun · 01/02/2007 23:04

Go Jillybean!
Ah! I feel so much better for it. You will too!
Those nice fresh scents, as opposed to those rank left over dinner ones, mixing with the scent of self satisfaction can't be beaten.
Can stay here guilt free now. I've actually got an energy boost now and was wondering if I should do some other jobs.
Actually, I think I've regained my senses and will idle away some time here instead.

JillybeansNW · 01/02/2007 23:10

OK, washing up done, DW finished so about to be unloaded, Might even clean the floor . If you are killing time read the thread that i linked to further down (PMSL)

Wintersun · 01/02/2007 23:30

Thanks for that. Its hilarious.
Def a thread that will go down in mn history.

Kiff · 01/02/2007 23:34

Well thanks Jilly. Only gone and read your thread and laughed out loud and made ds(3m.o.) virtually jump out his skin just as he was dropping off. Thanks a bunch .

Respect for your newly shiny kitchens.

I accused dh of pouring milk into a sink full of dishes this morning. He pointed out that it was actually little white globs of congealed fat fron the pan i used to fry burgers in last night, just floating to the surface.

Wintersun · 01/02/2007 23:42

rofl!
Hope your sink is in a better state tonight.
Mine is sparkling.
