p.s mellowma your list is brill!

JustIvor · 17/01/2007 10:40

I find myself getting lost when I go on the nm site. I do try to find my way around it, but my patience runs out.

Mellowma Have you tried an exaggerated swallow, theatre style? I'm scared of suggesting eating any food incase it makes it worse. Let us know how you are so we don't worry, won't you?

luda I can see a bit of blue sky to the West. Not a lot, just a bit in between the grey clouds. Just thought of something else, will e-mail you.

TisMeMellowma · 17/01/2007 10:41

Thanks Ludaloo

Just been to Netmums site and seen someone from my little village has put up an ad to meet for coffee and chat hmmmm. hmmm.. actually I think she may stay in the same flaming road as me should I make contact? should I not.... ?

living room - tidy, need to hoover
upstairs - rubbish down, need to bring down dirty washing and put clean clothes away
Need to put washing on, although may wait for DH to come home - its usually his job.

kids are ill and playing up, and i just want to run away and never come back!

JustIvor · 17/01/2007 12:05

Sorry to hear that JARM. What would help the kids to be in a more co-operative mood? I can't remember their ages, I'm sorry. I love board games and jigsaws and card games. If I needed to cheer up that would do it for me. The kids would prefer to go to the park so we'd do that to please them. What would your kids like to do?

Strewth, I have Father Ted on the brain! I can hear the housekeeper saying "Go on!" in my head.

Ruby How do I find your public profile? I might do a small one for me, I don't know.

JARM · 17/01/2007 12:21

Okay then JARM. Good to hear that it wasn't a "GET ME OUT OF HERE!" post. I suppose that I've got to stop mithering (sp?) about you and get off the PC and do something now?

Can't type for toffee today. Hope I haven't missed anybody.

EllieHsMum · 17/01/2007 12:49

Hi ruby Ivor go on, go on, go on. thats what went through my head when your first mentioned Mrs Doyle.
Jarm Sorry kids are unwell.

TisMeMellowma · 17/01/2007 12:57

Well thats me almost finished. I am waiting on my final wash and shall put it on the dryer, waiting on cushion covers drying and shall put them on and my house smells lovely.

Have also washed down dirty fingerprints off doors so they resemble white again.

The pill seems to have moved down a bit but it still there, sitting on my throat. Nightmare!! Not going to do me much good sitting there, is it??

JustIvor · 17/01/2007 12:58

I keep getting drawn back to MN. Am doing bits in between posting though, honest!

EllieHsMum The Urdd is Wales' largest youth organisation. I think the main aim is to build up the Welsh language amongst young people and help them to learn more about the Welsh culture and history, I suppose. The website is www.urdd.org. Click on the bilingual version on the top right. The site is too busy to get much sense out of it though. My children belong to it so that they can enter competitions (singing, music, drama etc) and go on trips (i.e. to Cardiff to see a rugby or football match.)

Thanks Ruby. Have sussed it now. Came back on this thread to look at yours but have not done it yet. Will do in a mo.

Ivor Thanks, sounds like a great idea. Do your kids learn welsh in schools? I know last your on Big Brother young Glynn was very proud of his welsh heritage. My husband is scottish & I know that gaelic is only taught in certain areas of Scotland now.

asleep · 17/01/2007 13:14

hi all

i'm still FLYing, just don't seem to have been here in a while. i am writing my list for the next day every night on a notepad. your lists are all impressive and getting it all done even more. i tend to make them shorter lately as i find long ones too daunting. i add more tasks when i finish it all.

i've been really trying to fit in a trip out every day apart from the schoolrun. and also don't want it to be shopping either. though DS makes it easy to leave shops as he cries every time i go inside one! heh! at least i'm saving money that way!

JustIvor · 17/01/2007 13:19

Hi asleep Sounds like you are doing well. Your ds is not a shopper, then!

EllieHsMum Yes, the children are now both in a Welsh medium secondary school. They went to a Welsh medium preschool and primary school too. They have very Welsh names despite me not speaking much Welsh, but dh is fluent.

tortoise · 17/01/2007 14:32

Hello all.
DD's ok today.Cough hits them at night. Both slept ok though.

Been to toddler group this morning after getting soaked taking DS's to school!

Had a little tidy round but lots to do. Getting off MN would be a good start!

Will do profile thing later.

Well done all you busy FLYers!

Hi Mellowma.

JARM Hope DC are better soon.

Afternoon All

Thanks Jelly, Ivor, Satin Shouldbe and everyone else who hjas posted re ds's lice. I'm pretty sure we're on top of it now...Nightmare at the Chemist, one didn't have enough product and the others took so long that DS got bored, difficult and managed to collide with a display cutting his eyebrow...blood everywhere and loads of tutting (yeah, I really wanted this to happen) cute moment, DS sits down, old bloke sits next to him and ds says 'I've got bugs in my hair' awwwh

Anyway, Jelly I did go back to bed at 4 but got up at 8 so I am a bit wacked.

Flying today
Empty WM
Sort out wet washing
Put wet stuff to dry

Home. put shopping away
Make lunch
Eat lumch and tidy away

Got to hoover front room again then put up a train layout for DS and light tidying round

Please tell me some uplifting news
