My bread maker lives in the dining room on the windowsill, as we have no space, and a serious lack of electrical sockets in our kitchen.

You're right re the saftey issues Ruby. The reason we onl;y have 2 sockets in our kitchen is that dp ripped them all out treating the damp when we bought the house (10 years ago) and never put them back!

ooh Ruby...sorry you have to fork out that much!!!! what a mare!
Well at least you know it'll be done...and in time for chrimbo etc.

I think I might of nagged dh enough to get my own way!!! even he can't stand up to us MNetters!!!

tinshoes · 08/11/2006 11:14

lol about breadmakers. I just talked DH into putting it on our Christmas list from his family. they are a bit pricey though so we'll only be getting a cheap one.

asleep · 08/11/2006 12:04

morning! feeling rubbish still, but going to have to do some cleaning today as the house is such a mess.

DP uses our breadmaker for making pizza base dough. works brilliantly. and a few years ago we made bread every day with it. as i went to take DD to school i got a text from DP saying that i'd have fresh bread in 2h 40min! the house smells of bread now i will have a taste when it's cooled down and i might start using it more again if it's nice!

Have done the mission and decluttered the worksurfaces at the same time. Our kitchen is sooooo tiny....DH decided to cook a full-on roast last night...all I could hear from the kitchen was a string of expletives!!! It tasted good though!

BudaBeast · 08/11/2006 12:16

Hi Luda - am here today - not flying though.

Was a bit down yesterday as had had IVF and discovered not Pg (thanks Quootiepie for help on the HPT thread - have read replies but wanted to just let the thread drop off). Saw doc today and will try again in January.

Need to lose weight first though.

I don't use my breadmaker every day but about twice a week ATM. Will get more adventurous though. The bread can taste a bit yeasty and not everyone likes that. I bought a breadmaker for my Dad a few years ago and it was a one hit wonder. I really like the basic brown bread though and it feels "healthy". No crappy preservatives. Am happy with mine! And I think DH is suprised how much I actually use it!

Will get back to Flying tomorrow!

pippah · 08/11/2006 12:16

Its my weekly home blessing this afternoon, so I should be feeling really worthy by tonight.

Are all the poorly people feeling better now - hope so!

Quootiepie · 08/11/2006 12:17

Welcome back Flame

LOL @ Ruby's "CO2 detectors" - carbon Monoxide?

Whats all this breadmaker stuff? Is it different from doing it in the oven?

Flamesparrow · 08/11/2006 12:31

I'm - my landlord hasn't given us CO or CO2 ones!!!

Boiler not gonna be finished today

Flamesparrow · 08/11/2006 12:31

Flame, by law you haveto have them.

carbon monoxide that is, not carbon dioxide, they would go off if you breathed on them

Quootiepie · 08/11/2006 12:33
