ruby enjoy your girly evening () - but then straight back to bed

haven't done much
but i managed to take ds out (left dd with dp ) to meet a friend of his - was rather manic but good fun! i even got to buy a slow cooker; not sure how and when to use it but i'll figure that out soon.

kitchen looks terrible - but only because i want it extra special tidy, so i take everything out and think of new plans to store it and well, leave everything out because i just can't do it the way i want it to right now
maybe i should go back to babysteps - was much cleaner

mine have a small age gap too (17 months) - and dd has just started to walk - it's getting harder by the day; and i've been told it should be easier and easier ...
very difficult to fit any cleaning in with these two!

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 13/10/2006 20:52

my pictures really arent loading up Tort, you about? Maybe I can email you them and you do it for me?

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 13/10/2006 21:26

Hi again.
My firdge in now clean It did not take so long as I thought it was going too.

Skribble... I have some positives from Flying too. The S+S in the bathroom is great. The loo, sink and the bath are now always clean and not having splash marks etc and then taking loads of time trying to clean them. Anti b spray and loo paper and loo is clean in seconds.

The other positive I have from FLYlady is the night time routine. Getting cloths ready and a clean kitchen etc is making the morning so much easier

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 13/10/2006 21:44

Tortoise, call the HA at least twice a week about your flooring. I used to work in an HA callcentre and the squeaky wheel really does get the grease, the more you bother them the harder they work to get rid of you

Susis, I've got a 20m age gap and it has been a fine excuse for getting no housework done. Was just about to start a housework regime when I got pg with the 2nd one and with morning sickness, fatigue and then baby, sleeping and feeding everyone have been priorities ever since. But...
Little one is 20m now and with the older one just started pre-school, I've now got the time and energy to put into making/keeping the house presentable. Still only aiming to get everything cleaned once by Christmas but despite having been a SAHM for over 2yrs, I'm still new to all this housework lark.

Im here now Q. Was putting DS's to bed! Peaceful here now!!
Yes you can send them to me and i can try and upload them for you.

TortUREoiseChamber · 13/10/2006 21:48

14month age gap between DD's. Was hard work for a while but now they are 2 and 3 its great. They get on really well. Play together and let me get on!

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 13/10/2006 21:49

Have just reorganised my linen cupboard so I now have somewhere to stash the laundry basket when empty (when is that???) I even put our spare bedlinen set in a pillowcase a la Mme Anthea and found an old valance sheet and pillowcases to Freecycle.
Couldn't do this before because the bottom shelf was full of boxes of books which are now on the new shelves in the lounge. Along with DH's Star Wars figures

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 13/10/2006 21:53

ta! Incoming!!!

jasnDISMemBERED · 13/10/2006 21:54

15 months between my dds (now 6& 7) Definitely easier than having only one by the time they were 2/3 and played together.
JARM - mine were born June and Sep, so they are two years apart at school, as yours will be. I really noticed the difference once the oldest started.

I've got my kitchen sorted and spent 1/2 hour doing paperwork this evening.

Can't read the whole thread, so sorry if I've missed anything important.

Skribble · 13/10/2006 21:55

Evening all, now listen very carefully, thats it turn down the telly and listen.

Did you hear it??

Yes that big sigh of relief was me. Shock horror step back in amazment my packing is all done, was done by 4pm, but dinner, musical theatre and DD dancing tound the living room for a while since then, DD away to bed all excited about the holiday. I only have things like filling the cool box and sorting out plugs, plants and pets to do in the morning.

So much easier to pack having been flying for 3 weeks, I didn't have to search the dirty washing to find decent clothes to take, normally I have the washing machine and tumble dryer going on overdrive the night before.

But this time me and the kids headed upstairs with our lists, 10min got everything and in bags. Of course DH not packed , but all his clothes are clean and upstairs so shouldn't take him long.

So I am now here doing a bit more research with glass of whisky in hand, don't worry I have packed a bottle .

jasnDISMemBERED · 13/10/2006 21:57

Is anyone seeing a link between the small age gap kids and the lack of housework?
I'm the only one who managed to use it as an excuse for 6 years though!

Skribble · 13/10/2006 21:59

My youngest is 7 now and 3 year age gap, no I am just a lazy lump with a natural hatred of anything that makes me look like a housewife

TortUREoiseChamber · 13/10/2006 22:00

Tort.... the files are massive... only letting me send a few at a time. Can I condense them?

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 13/10/2006 22:03

Skribble don't forget to empty the kitchen bin afore ye go, don't want to come back to a smelly rotten kitchen. DH left a bowl of cereal dregs in the sink last time we went anywhere, sour milk smell on our return was rank.

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 13/10/2006 22:05

Quootie, if you rightclick on the picture you may get the option to Edit Picture. If so you can resize it, 100-200pixels wide or high should be easier to send.

Skribble · 13/10/2006 22:05

ta! Incoming!!! what you on about??

So when I get back I want you and all your minibods fit and well, if you have to take to your bed and drink whisky for a week then do so, not whisky for the minbods though

jasnDISMemBERED · 13/10/2006 22:05
