New thread for a new zone, morning all

lets all do profiles

I have been married 6 years, I have 2 dd's, one is 6 and the other is 16 months and a dd or ds on the way!
I have always been domestically challenged and I think Flylady has the answer.
I have known about flylady for about 2 years but never really got going, I hope that doing it together will change that.
Good Luck to all on a fresh zone

Quootiepie · 14/08/2006 14:22

havent bought anything yet... Whats the journal like? im doing my own

Medulla · 14/08/2006 14:23

Looks interesting but hard to see in great detail. I am just starting FlyLady so I don't know what she wants you to put in her journal. Is it easy to do your own?

Quootiepie · 14/08/2006 14:25

yep, if you do the baby steps she introduces starting it... theres even a section on the site about building your own.

Medulla · 14/08/2006 14:28

Oh really I haven't come across that yet, I'll go look now - thanks Oooh I'm really liking this FlyLady business!

mummy2ashton · 14/08/2006 14:39

the best motivating song is: Queen - dont stop me now! download it if you havent got it!!!!

coggy · 14/08/2006 14:47

And when you throw out your clutter...you are supposed to sing..."Please release me, let me go"

The FLYone says so!!!!!

Quootiepie · 14/08/2006 14:56

GRRRRRRR.... DH has been sitting on his arse not fixing this leak, just had a go at him and hes gone out in shorts , a longsleeves top and some "proper" shoes because I had a go at him about not finding who owns the place under ours!

coggy · 14/08/2006 14:58

Has he gone downstairs?

Quootiepie · 14/08/2006 15:00

just cleaned out bathroom cupboard though

Quootiepie · 14/08/2006 15:03

we have an odd house... its like a bridge, with one room downstairs and entrance hall, and the rest upstairs and two walk ways run under it. On the ground level there is a seperate room thing belonging to someone else with its own front door.. but its attached in a way to our house, but not ours. Dont know who owns it!

coggy · 14/08/2006 15:04

Sorry...I meant has your DH gone downstairs to see if the owners are in?

Did you phone a plumber or has it slowed/stopped now?

coggy · 14/08/2006 15:05

And well done for the bathroom cupboard BTW!!!

Chandra · 14/08/2006 15:05

May I come in? Have tried Flylady for a short time in the past so I'm long due for a refreshment course.

Guess my house is beggin to have 27 rubish pieces removed from it, so... I'm goig for it.

Before I go, I have been married for 8 years, have a DS, two dogs and a multitude of excuses to be distracted from cleaning.

Quootiepie · 14/08/2006 15:06

its a room on it own... DH says it looks like someones office. Knocked next door to see if they own it, but they're not in. It only leaks when the tap is running, so its stable for now.

Quootiepie · 14/08/2006 15:07

welcome Chandra

coggy · 14/08/2006 15:08

Glad it's better...our water went brown this morning!!!

I thought of you....I reckon it's a plot against us!!!!

Off to walk my dog - my 15 minutes of loving movement for the day!!!!!

coggy · 14/08/2006 15:08

Oh yeah...sorry...how rude!!

Welcome!!

Quootiepie · 14/08/2006 15:08

enjoy!

Chandra · 14/08/2006 15:50

Thanks

27 good things bagged for charity

will continue with the binable 27 as soon as I hand over DS to DH!

Nice idea about taking before and after pictures, although would have to dig the camera out of a yet unidentified spot

cori · 14/08/2006 16:01

Hi all, can i join too.
I am 36 have two sons 4 and 3 months. I have always had a high tolerance for mess. But being so disorganised is really starting to bug me. Unfortunately DH also has the same problem( married 10 years) I have 6 months of maternity leave left and wish to become a domestic goddess in that time. How does this all work?

Chandra · 14/08/2006 16:06

Welcome

Go to the Flylady site (there's a link at second post), you can join the mailing list or start with the lessons in the menu at the left.

Quootiepie · 14/08/2006 16:45

any FLYers around?

shazronnie · 14/08/2006 16:55

it's sooo lovely to see new fly babies!

It's seems alot to do at first, but you only have to do a little bit at a time; as flylady says it took time to get messy, so you won't get it clean straightaway.

My tip is buy a timer (you don't have to give it wings like mine though )
