Nope - I just can't do pink... I'm very blonde and it just makes me look like Barbie...

Why/ how do you know pink/mocha will be in soon??

Legacy · 18/07/2006 10:05

well, looks like Dulux think it will be pink/ Duck egg

Yuck!

UCM · 18/07/2006 14:16

Could this be it
here I have the swatch as I am doing something similar in my bedroom involving light green on 2 walls/duck egg on the others. I though 5 or 6 looked about right.

Have to say that the Ice colours in Enid's link (architectural colours) looks like my idea of duck egg blue - that one's the mid one, there's a lighter and a darker version too.

bundle · 18/07/2006 14:21

what about dix blue?

Twiglett · 18/07/2006 14:21

IN Enid's link go to Collections - Aque and Glass II looks like a colour that would be lovely with brown leather IMO

Luara Ashley Duckegg
Crown Period Flagon
Farrow & Ball green blue

beansontoast · 18/07/2006 14:24

farrow and ball do a paint called...plight blue No 22...that is lovely...and duck eggish enough for my taste.

(wtf is going on in the chatty areas of mumsnet...bonkers..lol..i like a nice safe 'paint colours' thread)

beansontoast · 18/07/2006 14:25

apronstrings · 18/07/2006 14:45

Laura Asjley's duck egg is beautiful - I have painted our open plan family/kitchen/breakfast room with it. I t is lovely. as we were painting we wondered if it was going to be too much - but it is really great. Sorry if I'm repeating - haven't got time toi read whole thread. Duck egg is my fav. colour - I' m passionate about this Laura Ashley one

tiredemma · 18/07/2006 14:46

pecka my bedroom is in chocolate brown and blue ( we asked at dulux from duckegg blue but they must of got the shade wrong as its not duckegg, more brighter ) but works really well, we have the chimney breast in blue and the two alcoves in brown with leather bed and dark brown furnite and dark solid oak floor.
would you like to see a pic to see how it works?

CountessDracula · 18/07/2006 14:47

Sorry I can't help you is too subjective

hub2dee · 18/07/2006 14:52

Twiglett is da minx of da Sarf.

pecka · 18/07/2006 16:06

CountessDracula · 18/07/2006 16:07

no no what I mean is YOUR idea of the perfect duck egg blue may not be mine

tiredemma · 18/07/2006 16:10

hang on a few minutes, ill take one and set it up on here...

pecka · 18/07/2006 16:13

hahah I see, doh yes - subjective :D

Do you think Duck Egg (the one in my head of course) would look good with a latte colour?

OP posts:
apronstrings · 18/07/2006 16:21

I painted a trio of latte colours (darkish medium and light)in the two rooms at the front of my house - with the duck egg in the open plan room at the back - only an archway btwn them - it goes very nicely.
