A place to have a chat, drink Brew and relax from Stepping (or not). All chatters are welcome, Stepping or otherwise.

Come on in and enjoy the company!

Tee hee bessie.

I think summer is supposed to be on its way. Grin

bessie26 · 20/07/2012 21:09

I usually refuse to start xmas until after my birthday (early nov), but I can see that I do need to start slightly earlier this year, but NOT YET!

Scout19075 · 20/07/2012 21:09

I bought gifts for Christmas 2012 before we even had Christmas 2011. Blush Grin Hmm

Scout19075 · 20/07/2012 22:43

To the mums of older daughters, where do you find nice/decent robes/dressing gowns without breaking the bank?

Blush Sorry about that bessie. Blush A friend of mine (male) has asked me to make him something with skulls in it. I was a bit baffled and stressed. Grin

As you were... Blush

I usually refuse the think about thinking about Xmas until November, OH likes to start shopping around 4pm Christmas Eve. This year I plan to start at least saving for it next week.

DDs stayed over with a friend last night, my friend (attendant Mum) gave up supervising and went to bed at 2am. At 7pm this afternoon we dropped them at another friend's for her birthday sleepover. They are going to be really tired tomorrow.

CatsInChaos · 21/07/2012 06:03

Morning all,

carrotsandcelery · 21/07/2012 09:32

Adora I suspect you will need to be well braced for overtired and grumpy children.

Cats well done on the decluttering. I am very impressed.

I am struggling to feel awake. I couldn't get to sleep last night (I know, I know) and then dh finished the milk and nice bread with his breakfast so I can't have a Brew and got nasty bread for my toast. Boo!

Scout19075 · 21/07/2012 09:53

Good luck, everyone!

I forgot to mention my Flying "good news" yesterday. If I have recycling or trash to go out to the bins I put them by the front door so when I go out they're easy to grab (because if I say "go out" Toddler's by the front door raring to go and trying to escape leave). Yesterday I only had an oversized plastic bottle to go out (think squash bottle) but had put it by the door. When I told Toddler we were getting ready to go to the car to go to YOUT he went to the door and said "Bottle! Bottle to bin, Mommy!" Then he picked it up, carried it outside and down to our drive calling "Bottle blue bin Mommy!" (Blue is our recycling bin color.) He's the chief plastic bottle to bin boy but normally I have to ask him to carry the bottle.

Yay! Well done TS! I hope he got lots of praise. That is great progress Scout.

bessie26 · 21/07/2012 10:32

Excellent work TS! DD1 has got so good at putting the dirty laundry in the laundry basket now, she tells DH off when he leaves stuff on the bathroom floor Grin

I still have a headache Sad - I don't think DD2s swimming lesson at 830 helped We have a busy day today (2 parties this afternoon), but I am going to try to drink copious amounts of water incase it is due to dehydration.

Had better stop looking at the screen & go get ready - I've got to pop out for a leg wax before lunch too!

bessie26 · 21/07/2012 10:34

Forgot to say, I made another easy & yummy recipe for the girls tea yesterday - courgette & feta bites - they scoffed the lot & wanted more!

CatsInChaos · 21/07/2012 11:42

Hi all, Just having a Brew break before I hang the washing out. Hoping to do some more de-cluttering maybe and some painting.

The sun is out!!! Hooray!!! Grin Hope it's out tomorrow too so we can get out and enjoy it and get some washing dry.

Bit of a balancing act going on at the mo - need to do packing soon, also DS to party this afternoon so present and card to do. Some shopping to do and plenty of washing/drying to get done. Starting to get in "holiday mode" but it's a slow process! Hmm

carrotsandcelery · 21/07/2012 16:21

I am disproportionately upset with dd. We have just had a lovely afternoon together ending with a trip to Tesco (it had to be done).

I bought a bottle of a raspberry drinking yogurt as it was on special offer and I really like it. Dd was hovering when we were unpacking, looking for something to eat, so I handed her the bottle and said she could have some of it. I carried on unpacking and turned round to see her drinking it from the bottle. Bleurgh! I am so disappointed. A) that she would do that B) that she didn't think we would share a treat like that and C) that now I can't have any. Bleurgh!

Sad Sad Sad

I was looking forward to it.

I don't have yogurty drinks but do have ordinary yogurts in the refrigerator if they'll do?
