Sorry Arti. I thought Adora but have clearly not typed it Blush I do the same to the children and pets. I run through everyone's name until I get the right thing.

I have put ds in the bath. He is very tired and grumpy this evening. I was fine until I had to deal with him being tired and grumpy. It seems to suck the energy out of me.

Toddler is still awake. I made the mistake of letting him have an extended nap today after swimming -- yesterday was a crazy day for him and he didn't get to bed until nearly 9 p.m. and was awake just before 7 a.m. and we had swimming this morning. All of these things means I know he was exhausted but I really shouldn't have let him nap as long as he wanted. Now I'm trying to make dinner and go up to him (he's only gotten out of bed 2-3 times but he's gone looking for me not done the "hahhaha I'm out of bed" routine). He looks exhausted but I think he's having trouble winding himself down.

CamperWidow · 31/05/2012 20:03

Bessie I am trying that at the minute, bloomin heck she works you hard! Can't say I feel any different yet but I'm sticking at it.

Had a shite say today. Muddles fell out of her moses basket and has split all her lip. :( It's sat on a low pouf and I put her down asleep while I went up and washed my hair, as we have done for the last 8 months. She must have rolled over in her sleep and I heard a thud and then screaming and came down to see the basket upended! She's got a little carpet burn on her nose and her top lip is all split and swollen. :( My baby girl! Thankfully my Mom was coming over and made me feel all better and not like the worst mom ever.

carrotsandcelery · 31/05/2012 20:06

Oh Camper ((((hugs)))) Poor you! Poor wee Muddles too. Dcs like to do stuff like that to themselves and frighten the living daylights out of us.

Oh Camper. Sad Poor little Muddles. Poor you. It's scary but as carrots said, DC have a way of doing that sort of thing and walking away but scaring us for the rest of our lives.

Scout19075 · 31/05/2012 22:39

I have emailed my BiL. It's not nearly as ranty as it would have been if I had written and sent it on Monday but feel I hammered the points home.

AdoraBell · 31/05/2012 23:50

Yes, I've got the two fluff demonsdogs. I'm always causing confusion, me Blush, will catch up later, TTFN

AdoraBell · 01/06/2012 01:00

Okay, dinner is prepped, I can take a few minutes.

carrots we a have long-ish haired genuine German Shepherd who looks like a brute but is really a great big teddy bear, and the other is officially a mix because she was a stray. She has all the characteristics of German Shepherd, but is about half the normal size. She was an orphaned puppy when we found her, vet said she was probably 8 week's and she weighed 2 kilos. She's the hunter. He's the fluff maker.

camper so sorry Muddles had an accident. As the others have said, they all seem to have the knack of doing these things if we take our eyes off them for a nano second, even if we don't they'll still manage to do something, she'll get over it quickly.

My legs are aching now, walked the dogs in completely the wrong shoes as I can't find my trainers.

My tyre was a write off, only had 3,000 KM on it. I am very lucky it didn't blow out on the motorway though, see there's a positive pointGrin. It has a large gash and they found a large-ish piece of bone inside. I have assured the DDs that it wasn't me that killed the dog, it was already very much deceased by the time I hit it. There are lot's of strays here and this road divides the community- ifswim- so dogs are always trying to dash across.

Loreen

Not trying to be picky, but are you on the right thread, were you looking for a different one perhaps?

TitsalinaBumSquash · 01/06/2012 07:53

It's going on, on a few threads, best to ignore I think!

Anyway.

Lovely day here, I am planning some light tidying up. There is a local gent coming to clean my oven for me I will clean the bathrooms and our bedroom. Then I'm off for the night to a hotel with DP for an overnight getaway.
I hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine and bank holiday preparations :) .

carrotsandcelery · 01/06/2012 08:38

Well, that woke me up! Shock

I have been up half the night worrying about money Sad

I have sufficient money to get by but it is in the wrong place and I am not sure if I can access it straight away. My worry is that with the bank holiday I won't be able to get to it much longer. It doesn't seem such a disaster in the light of day but at 2am it just wouldn't go away.

I ended up getting up and working on my friend's necklace instead and then managed to sleep when I got back to bed so I have had nearly 4 hours. I have survived on less Hmm

Is there a toddler sleep regression I'm unaware of? ARGH.

carrotsandcelery · 01/06/2012 12:02

Oh dear Scout! Are you as woozy as me? I have been doing some very strange things today.

Money is more or less sorted so that is a big relief.

bessie26 · 01/06/2012 12:07

?? Did I miss something?!

We've been to the Drs this morning to chat about DD2s recurrent ear infections & have been referred to ENT at the hospital. Then walked round to the shops to post a letter. We saw 2 sets of work men mending the road & a man with a big digger in his garden. DD1 is happy Grin

CatsSleepAnywhere · 01/06/2012 12:21

Hi all, I did look at the thread this morning but was a bit Shock. I didn't post though as we had to go out to do some food shopping.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 01/06/2012 12:29

OOOoohhh Just noticed this Crown . Grin How lovely! Crown

AdoraBell · 01/06/2012 13:17

Scout there's probably a toddler sleep "anything to mess up mummy's day" switch, which none of us have been able to locate

carrots glad you got your money more or less sorted, everything seems a bigger problem at 2am, will you be able to fit in a nap during the day?

I'm also a bit woozy this morning, too may late nights this week. Last night I made muffins as DD2's friend has requested some and is actually willing to pay for themShock. I managed to drop the tray as I took it out, so I did another batch after the DDs were in bed. This morning DD2 tells me -oh, friend isn't coming to school today- I should have asked her the specific question, I know better than that.

I may, or may not, do things today, I haven't decided yet.

Bessie not trying to do competitive spotting of work vehicles or anything, but my DDs were delighted a few years ago when we saw one of the big digger things, can't remember the grow-up name for it, getting fuel in the petrol station.

Boy, do I need coffee!

Scout19075 · 01/06/2012 16:46

The smart thing for my BiL to do would have been to ignore my email not try to justify himself and put it back on me. Grrr. I'm going to go away with my boys and have a nice time.

bessie26 · 01/06/2012 16:58

scout I think you are just going to have to agree to disagree on this one. You're not going to change his stupid mind, so don't waste your time/energy on it.

courgette bites for tea tonight. Except I've renamed them cheesy-egg things. Will the cheese & egg be enough to make up for the poisonous courgette......

Scout19075 · 01/06/2012 17:05

Oh, I know bessie and I'm going to ignore his email. But the problem in doing that is he will then think he "won because he's right." I didn't email to try to change his mind, I emailed to tell him that we weren't going to his this weekend and why.

The trouble is he has form for this sort of thing. And often he decides to pick on me (whether he thinks I'm an easy target or what, I don't know). Fortunately the rest of the family see it and stand by me because I'm the reasonable, sane in-law in their family.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 01/06/2012 18:26

Is anyone around? I would SOooooo like an alcoholic drink!!!! --I'm not allowed-- Wine

AdoraBell · 01/06/2012 19:37

I'm here for a few mins, having a late lunch. I could murder a pisco sour but I have to drive. Just sent a text to the OH asking if we wants to take DCs out for dinner, it's the only way I'll get that pisco sourGrin

How are you doing Cats?

educatingarti · 01/06/2012 19:40
